Trash pick up regularly scheduled for Thursday did not occur 9/5/19
Hello, For the last 2+ weeks a large blue and cream area rug has been spread on the south side of the lawn at 1412 South Grant Street. Early on, it was in good enough shape to possibly appeal to a passer by, but it has now been ruined by rain. Perhaps this clean-up is the responsibility of the landlord, but I don’t have his contact info. Thanks! jav Jo Ann Vogt 1409 South Grant Street
Referring to report Case 170099 handled by Chris Axsom. This case was closed 9/4 and I was advised that Duke fixed it 8/30. The last 3 mornings when I go outside around 6am (totally dark yet), the light is still completely out...no illumination whatsoever. I question if it is really fixed, or maybe I just don't understand when it is on and when it's not. Thank you!
The same trash, including glass and open bags of food waste, has been occupying the sidewalk and yard next to the sidewalk since Monday evening.
I came home on my lunch hour to find my trash can still full with a note on it saying it was "too close to the car to pick up". This tells me that the person who left the note was able to get out of the truck and stick it on my can, but couldn't be bothered to move the can to the correct spot and pick it up. I would understand the disdain if I were a repeat offender, but is this the common way? They could have taken my can, and still left a note so we would do better next week, but instead come off as condescending a lazy. If this is acceptable, this is a poorly managed service, I guess.
Please, please, please provide a single map of all the paved trails. It is ridiculously hard to find out where there are trails, or the names of trails I've stumbled upon.
2 city trees by my property are in need of removal 514 South Woodlawn Avenue
Hello, the pictured trash can was placed in my driveway at 514 S Grant St sometime between 9am and 10:30 am this morning. It blocked me from entering my driveway and was extremely heavy to move. I'd like to return it to the proper address, but unsure where it came from. I'm guessing you have a list and can advise on how to return it to the proper address. Since school has started it seems new residents are unsure how to use the city bins. My neighbors on the northwest corner of Grant and University have kept their trashcan blocking the sidewalk for over two weeks now.
There is a tree falling down on in front of 312-314 South Henderson St. that seems to have hit an electrical pole. If it were to fall any further it would be blocking the street.
