On Monday may 6th my daughter Asiajuana and i pulled up to the village pantry on Patterson and West 3rd. My daughter got out the car to go into the gasstation, when 2 girls started yelling profanity at her. She proceeded to get back into the car to let me know that these were the girls that had a problem with my God daughter Porchanae Reedy. So i get out the car in hopes to defuse the situation asking them can we talk. They said come come over here as we were walking over they still proceeded to curse etc... So i asked what problem did they have with my daughter because she had nothing to do with the on going problem. Things got heated. My daughter and the girl name Ashely Reynolds got in each others face and she hit my daughter. Ashley's sister Brook decided to jump in so then i jumped in trying to protect my daughter. After that my mind went blank i just felt punches to my face and body, i looked over and my daughter was being dragged by her hair while being called a black bitch, i was called a black bitch and the word nigga not nigger. After the fight my breast was hagging out my mouth was busted. I got up off the ground i believe i put my shoes on, i look over and both girls pulled up to my car Brook got out and snatched my purse out of my car, my daughter tried to grab it but she couldnt. A lady that was parked on the side of me called the police during the fight. Police showed up asked what happened took pictures had me my daughter and the lady Pam write statements. After about an hour the police found my purse. I had already canceled my bank card witch was still in my purse but all my cash was gone. Witch in the original police report i reported 900.00 in cash but it actually was only 600.00 in cash and 385.00 on my bank card so i summed it up to 900.00 in total before the purse was returned. My daughter has a black eye, and her skin was ripped from her knee. The police told me that both girls would be arrested. Later that night i found out either girl was arrested the only got citations for court. The next day they repeatedly drove past my home calling us niggers, threatening us taunting us about our cars and beating us up again. I called police and they said its a public street. Im mad im angry and im fed up with the police Dept. This is not the first time that white ppl has gotten away with harming us we were jumped back in 2014 by 12 white supremacist and the case was thrown out of court. I cant let this one go. Thank you guys for calling me and getting in touch.

Hello -- where the parking lot and sidewalk end and the Rail Trail begins (at the trailhead on Country Club Drive), there is a growing issue. The height difference between the trail and the sidewalk is becoming a real trip hazard for pedestrians, an accessibility issue for others, and a flat tire waiting to happen for cyclists. Is there a way to get this fixed up a bit? But please, please, do NOT use giant gravel. The parts of the Rail Trail that were patched with giant gravel are a disaster. Leave the bump instead of using big gravel if that is the only set of options.

This is why we can't have nice things . . . Why is this big gravel on the Rail Trail? The nice, even, soft surface of the trail has something like 3 or 4 sections where this big gravel was tossed on the trail and now it is a real issue. The big gravel is unstable for runners and walkers. The big gravel hurts the pads of dogs. And, the big gravel is a disaster to ride a bicycle across on a commute into downtown. This needs to be repaired with the big gravel gone and smaller gravel to match the existing trail surface used. You wouldn't patch a section of the B-Line with wood planks, so why mess up the rail trail like this?

This photo was taken to exaggerate the issue just a bit by the perspective, but this is an issue. The parking lot on Country Club at the B-Line Trail is getting gnarly with bushes. Is it possible to trip this back?

I've recently noticed the Rail Trail between Country Club Drive and Gordon Pike has sections of large gravel (see attached photo). I appreciate that maintenance is being done, assuming the City is responsible for this work. But, I am concerned because this large gravel is inconsistent with the existing surface for the trail. As a bike commuter and runner on this section of the trail, I was disappointed to see large gravel appear on the surface. The Rail Trail is a great surface to run and walk on and commute on. These patches of large gravel pieces diminish it's utility and enjoyment. Are there plans to use large gravel more often on the trail? I request that the smaller, packed surface be maintained. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you about the maintenance of the trail. Have a great day.

The bushes are overgrown into the trail in the parking lot at the Rail Trail / B-Line on Country Club. The branches are hanging over the sidewalk/path along the front of the parking lot making it tough to get through.

The Rail Trail needs some work! It needs YOU to show it some love. There are some problems . . . FIRST: Entering the Rail Trail from Country Club, the trees / shrubs at the parking lot are overgrowing into the sidewalk / path along the parking lot. You can almost not see the handicap parking sign from the overgrowth, too. The sidewalk is being impeded horizontally as well as vertically from branches hanging down. SECOND: There are numerous low hanging branches between Country Club and Gordon Pike on the trail. On a bicycle, these require ducking or maneuvering around. This can be hazardous. THIRD: There is a dead tree that is leaning over the trail, resting its top on another tree across the trail. That is between Country Club and Gordon Pike. This is maybe 1/3 to 1/2 a mile south of the Country Club Drive parking lot. This seems like it is ripe for falling on someone or blocking the trail, as it hangs there perilously. FOURTH: Someone goofed and put oversized gravel on the trail to fix some holes. This gravel is not safe on the trail for multiple reasons. One reason is that it is looser than the other gravel, so it is a change in surface that can cause bikes or walkers to lose balance. Also, the gravel is bigger so it is tougher to ride or walk or run across, and could cause injuries. As a result, people swerve around it and try to avoid it. This is causing people going in one direction to impede those going in the other at times. Can we get some smaller gravel / fill that matches the existing bed of the trail put in place? Having that big gravel is a total disaster creating multiple problems. I've almost lost balance / control on my bike in that bigger gravel. It needs to be replaced ASAP.
