From Police: The police department has had several complaints from this apartment complex reference drugs, disturbing the peace, fights, as well as other calls. When I was there I noticed that the complex was littered with a large amount of trash. I believe about ½ of the complex is abandoned. It would help us if HAND got involved with code violations. Trash in yard.
There has been a dumpster at the house for over a year. It is serving as a dumping grounds for contractors and neighbors. There is construction debris strewn about.
Trash is being piled up because residents do not want to pay for removal/stickers.
Received email from the planning dept. The uncontainered trash bags around the back wall of 809 S. Fess are an increasing nuisance on our block. When I complain to the students, they clean up the alley a bit but do not put out their trash weekly. The raccoons, rats, ect. get into it and carry bits of garbage around the back alley, where my toddler and I like to walk. This week is a typical example of what is lying around back there.
