From Police: The police department has had several complaints from this apartment complex reference drugs, disturbing the peace, fights, as well as other calls. When I was there I noticed that the complex was littered with a large amount of trash. I believe about ½ of the complex is abandoned. It would help us if HAND got involved with code violations. Shawn Ashley emailed Lisa and said this address seems to be running a car repair sevice. They have car parts in the yard. Lisa wants you to include Planning and talk to Lynne or Russell to see if they can help.
Trash in yard.
There has been a dumpster at the house for over a year. It is serving as a dumping grounds for contractors and neighbors. There is construction debris strewn about.
Trash is being piled up because residents do not want to pay for removal/stickers.
Received email from the planning dept. The uncontainered trash bags around the back wall of 809 S. Fess are an increasing nuisance on our block. When I complain to the students, they clean up the alley a bit but do not put out their trash weekly. The raccoons, rats, ect. get into it and carry bits of garbage around the back alley, where my toddler and I like to walk. This week is a typical example of what is lying around back there. Thanks for your help, singed Roby Fischman.
tenants at this house leave their trash out in the backyard for weeks at a time without trash cans. this has caused a rodent problem.
There is a growing pile of garbage behind and alongside the house of 501 S. Mitchell. This adjoins a walkway that links two parts of Hunter Ave and it's just above a waterway that feeds into Jordan River. Reporter is concerned about rats and other sanitation issues that could occur if left untreated.
