Customer requested appeal for adjustment to bill due to heavy watering needed during Sept. 2004. Will be notified when next USB Admin. Subcommittee mtg. is held.
Tenants rent property at 413 S. Highland. Landlord (K. Norbu) says high water bills are their responsibility. He did fix leaking stool, however.
Customer had new stool installed but had to leave in a hurry. Apparently, stool did not shut off. Customer wants adjustment made on water bill.
Letter dated 3/10/04 from Emogene H. Carter for property owned by Harold Carter stated at the end of Jan., Util. ofc. was called to check on overcharge of $28.41. Later, a copy of account breakdown was received confirming overcharge. Correction did not show up in either February or March bill.
Letter rec'd. at CBU concerns storm sewer system along Ruby Lane to Mitchell and Southdowns Avenues. Mr. Rayfield is concerned about the drain connection. Since this project is a Public Works project, this letter was referred to DPW.
Received letter of trash appliances at McGarry's Appliance store.
There are always 4-5 junk cars in the parking lot next to the shop along with an old trailer and assorted junk appliances. The bldg is shabby and run down. This has been going on for years.
Letter rec'd. from Jackie Bowman Helton requesting appeal by USB Admin. Subcommittee on charges on her account for 1323 W. 8th St. She had a leak in the stool and feels she should not be responsible for water bill due to leak.
Phyllis & Samuel Guskin wrote re. 1725 E. Hunter Ave. They want to object to a request to subdivide existing single family residential lot at 1900 Atwater. They feel that the land is unsuitable for development because it appears to be a sinkhole. They also feel that the water retention needs should be addressed before any development is permitted. Letter was received by Util. Dept. but referred to COB Planning Dept.
