2 dead skunks in the road on West 3rd Street, a block east of Johnson Ave. Terrible smell affecting the neighborhood.
I have worked with your animal control staff for almost 20 years. They are so professional, patient and fair. I love having the opportunity to report many excellent interaction with them and to applaud their dedication and professionalism.
decaying rabbit carcass in the street. Mark St. corner of Nancy. It is at the end of my driveway but in the city street. I would like it cleaned up, there are lots of dogs in that area.
Road kill: a possum seems to have been hit by a car and is lying dead next to the road.
Dead rabbit on sidewalk in front of 622 West 6th St. Probably hit by car. House is vacant.
For the past few weeks there have been dogs roaming free in this area. I have nearly hit them in the street a couple times and one actually did get hit by a car a few days ago. I think they belong to the big red house in this block. They don't appear to follow and leash or restraint requirements. I am concerned for the animal's continued safety.
I have a fog attack me this past Sat. Immediate care facility reported to you,,, I have called u twice,,,,,no reply. My cell phone was destroyed in this incident
I live directly behind individuals who repeatedly let their 2 dogs outside on their small, fenced-in patio at any hour of day - most offensively before 7am on weekdays and before 8am on weekends. The dogs bark incessantly whenever they are outside, and the owners allow them to remain outside for varying lengths of time, barking to be let into the house or at neighbors on their patios. This is a public nuisance and possible animal neglect. This has been ongoing since March 2021, and the Oaklawn Park HOA refuses to address it.
City events in the summer are hot, the pavement is even hotter. Tons of folks had pets out at the pride event weekend, for example, and they were walking them on pavement in 93 degree weather which makes the pavement over 130°F. Very few of these pets had booties on to walk around and there was little to no water present. Why is animal control not presenting this information about pet safety and temperatures when it is animal abuse to burn a pet’s feet? Please decide to be present and post this information in common spaces for folks to see and increase reminders about pet safety.
