For the love of god, PLEASE clear all brush, trees, grasses, anything growing into the side path on the west side of Sare Rd and the side walk and side path on the east side of Sare Rd from Moores Pike south to East Rhoher Rd. Both sides need cleared and cut back. Someone came out and cut back ONE bush that was overgrown but the rest of the problems down the path were barely touched and continue to reduce the side path to half it's original width. Same just north of Rogers and Sare traffic circle, on east side of Sare. It's been like that for years with little to no response to ureports or work actually being completed. The stretch north of Rhoher on eastside of Sare needs mowed REGULARLY. It is also severely angled, has rough broken surface and is not safe for anyone using a wheelchair or electric runabout scooter. Please send someone out that can take care of our tax dollar community investments. Thank you.
Quit purging the location history of the complaints for seminary park. It’s obvious the city is doing so to limit what the public can see for various political/legal reasons. Someone needs to find out who is responsible purging these reports and that person needs held accountable. This cities agenda is so one sided boardering being illegal. Your “public” meetings requiring voices and votes (parks and recreation) are only promoted and people made aware through very liberal means/programs. I’m sure someone will just delete this post almost immediately but I hope my voice gets heard to as many as possible until then.
we are so tired of the way the homeless treat us as we walk the B line there, their profanity and disrespect for public decency. sunday morning my family had to witness a half naked person used the bathroom on the trail we walked. sorry but enough is enough we will not contenue to tolerate this disreguard for sociadle ruining. Homelessness is a choice not a decease trat it that way
There seems to be a blocked street at Country Club and Rogers. Also, there seems to be a blocked street at Rhorer and Walnut Street Pike. Also, there seems to be a blocked street at Grimes and Walnut. Also, there seems to be a blocked street at Country Club and Rockport. Also, Tapp is closed. Also, 2nd St. overpass is one lane. Also, 3rd St. overpass is one lane. Please advise. Thanks!
Drilling on South Walnut Street has been on-going since 6:30 AM on 06/25/2018. The drilling had stopped around 6:00 - 7:00 PM prior to this date. Now we find out from the Bloomington Police Department that the contractors have obtained a "Variance" to continue drilling non-stop through the night. This is Unacceptable! What good does it do to have noise ordinances if they are not enforced? This IS also a residential area! What happened to working 10 hour days 6 days a week? This is not just a noise issue. The drilling also shakes the foundations of the houses! Do the residents of South Walnut Street not have the right to a period of time to sleep?!!!! This is Wrong!
Hello - I wanted to ask if the city could do a better job decorating for Christmas this year. We moved up from Florida last year and was very surprised that there was no Christmas tree in the city center, and meager decorations -- just some strings of white lights on the courthouse. It didn't feel festive or beautiful or special. It's important, maybe not for students, but for families, older people and also business owners, I would think, to have a festive, Christmas-y and beautiful downtown. Please, Bloomington, put up a big Christmas tree this year on or around the courthouse square, and have a special lighting ceremony, with Christmas and holiday music. And do Christmas decorations on the lamp posts on Kirkwood, and maybe string lights over the avenue (like in the photo attached here, of Clematis Street in West Palm Beach). It's these things that make a town really wonderful. Or not. Thank you, Margaret Menge
The Commission on the Status of Children and Youth states it has a vacancy, but that is incorrect. Allen Bell is the commissioner who was just appointed to the commission, please add Allen, thanks. Nancy
Who do I contact to purchase a brick on the sidewalk?
It would be great if the city could offer some professional development courses geared toward women. I work on the IU campus as a professional staff and there is very little support offered for the types of challenges we face. For example, a class like this on salary negotiation would be so helpful.https://www.boston.gov/departments/womens-advancement/aauw-work-smart-boston
