Because Kirkwood is closed traffic is backed up all down 6th St and Indiana. I spent 20 minutes trying to get from Indiana and 3rd St and 7th St. I work in the Poplars Building and park in the Poplars Garage and it took me 10 minutes to leave for an appointment this afternoon when there were only 2 cars ahead of me. Because of all of this traffic I was forced to take an extra 30 minutes at lunch and will have to leave 30 minutes early so I can be sure to pick up my daughter from daycare before they close. I don't have the PTO to spare and I am so frustrated. I didn't know the road would be closed until today when a co-worker mentioned it, other wise I would have had no idea. I am so angry and so frustrated that you closed this street, especially if it really was for a driverless bus test. Go test it somewhere else where you don't have high traffic! Indiana is always down to one lane.Please do not close the road tomorrow. This is going to cause accidents, not to mention the MASSIVE inconvenience. Thank you for taking the time to read this. requesting feedback: Today is Monday Jan. 15,2018 and I cannot complete some of my personal errands due to weather conditions on the streets and sidewalks.First, my mail has been delayed since Saturday from the incoming snow storm. I noticed the sidewalks were not shoveled and some places were not salted nor were some of the streets were not plowed either. I am just bringing some of the few things to this office's attention because this delays all my daily personal errands like paying bills,etc. I look forward to hearing a positive feedback from this office. It is unfortunate that city employees cannot fulfill snow-plowing jobs when there are plenty of "homeless citizens" looking for work/employment that would have look forward to plowing the streets of Bloomington,Indiana. Your construction on the city of Bloomington is awful I would like to mention that it is almost impossible to get anywhere. I leave half an hour before work which would normally be a 10min drive and still end up late on some days. Is it really necessary to have all major roads worked on at the same time?

Writing the address on the envelope to send our Property Tax check, I realized that it says 'Fairfileld, OH'. Just curious why that is. Could this not be processed in Bloomington, creating work for locals, instead of probably having to play an outsider to do this?

Question for the Monroe County Treasurer and the Mayor: why do we send our Property Tax checks to Fairfield, Ohio? Why can those checks not be processed locally, thus creating jobs and not having to pay an outsider to do this work?

I recently attended a peaceful protest downtown for the Black Lives Matter movement. The Mayor gave a very nice and well received speech on the courthouse lawn. I have found that this speech has since been posted to YouTube where I have had the chance to listen to it again. During his speech he spoke about transparency at all levels in local Government. The Mayor also made mention of the fact that window tint was being removed from all Police cars in order to promote this. I believe that this was a step in the right direction. Yet despite this, I still have seen administrators at the Department getting in and out of their cars while I walk to class and while they are driving around town with window tint still on their Police cars. Why has the window tint not been removed from these Police vehicles despite the fact that the Mayor wants complete and total transparency and these are people that should be some of the most transparent ones out there? Thank you.

Mayor Hamilton I know your not in charge of I--69 but I work at Monroe Hospital and the intersection and overpass being built is taking far more time than it should. Some rumors I have heard its Political was the reason for it not getting done. The light was taken down at Vernal Pike and the over pass near there already done. I also feel I-69 should of been done in each section being done one at a time. Also there are so many roads in Bloomington that needs address---like Leonard Springs Rd its awful I have to drive it and I really feel for all the bus drivers--which I know is just one of many. Please don't let I-69 take away from fixing much needed other roads. Also Bloomington was once a great Manufacturing city ---we need more of those ---I don't like the fact that just like RCA--and Otis and now GE--are things of the past and putting government money to up keep those places and shut them down is totally not right. Thankfully the annexation without representation was blocked. Democrats confuse legality with morality. To increase taxes on someone without representation in the process is immoral. If annexation is so obviously right, why did the mayor seek to do so by involuntary annexation. The state law needs to be changed so people have a voice in the process. For a millionaire developer and a mayor to keep me from voting is undemocractic . For the Democrats in Bloomington to say they are for the little man and then turn around and pull such a stunt does not speak well of politics in the city of Bloomington.
