I have been contacted about 2 outstanding parking tickets. I have spoken with the collection agency to inform them that those tickets were paid and I gave them the confirmation number that the tickets were never delinquent. The person I spoke with didn't update their system with the confirmation numbers in order to follow up with you (on March 21, 2012) and they called me again today. I would like to email you the receipt that I received from your website when I paid. Below is a copy of the receipt: From: CITY OF BLOOMINGTON <[email protected]> Date: Fri, Feb 5, 2010 at 10:40 AM Subject: Receipt from CITY OF BLOOMINGTON To: Rafael Ishman <[email protected]> Company: CITY OF BLOOMINGTON Reference Number: 10.174.5.172-1269ECA190F-4DDE4099-60171B1A Subtotal: $80.00 Tax: $0.00 Shipping: $0.00 Total: $80.00 CITY OF BLOOMINGTON
Narrow streets, posted no parking by City. S Mill Stone Ct, S Mill Stone Way. A few residents continually park their cars on the street, making driving difficult. Would like an occasional police car to come through and write tickets.
Jackson Street between 6th and 7th. The white truck has been parked there since before Christmas - not moved. Now 2 more cars. None have permits.
There is a black BMW 'parked' in the 800 Block of West 3rd st with expired plates that looks abandon. It has not moved in quite some time and perhaps should be removed. Thanks.
I parked on 6th St near Dunn St and put money in meter. Turns out meter was not working yet. Why doesn't city government inform the public as to status of use of new meters. The entire meter process has been a circus.
Not really a problem, but maybe an improvement to a situation. I remember, while visiting Rehobooth, Va. That the parking meters had an available app. that I loaded on to my I phone. I was able to pay my parking meter via a credit card I had registered with a third party through my iPhone. The program even sent me a txt message when the meter timer was running low and asked if I wished to continue billing my credit card. I think Bloomington would benefit by this next step. Thank you. Seriously City of Bloomington ? You've put in meters and on top of 25cents an hour and parking ticket REVENUE, you are also requiring the user / city resident / visitor to pay YOUR credit card transaction fee. Really ? Please name me one downtown merchant that requires the customer to pay this fee. Ridiculous. I will be shopping / eating / recreating elsewhere. Not downtown Bloomington. Good luck to you and your soon to be very irate merchants / downtown business owners.
