Courts frequently full from people outside the neighborhood. Particularly paid coaches giving lessons. If someone wants to make money let them do it in a private court before taking all of the neighborhood courts for hours from local residents. Please change the policy. If already a policy please post it.
The last two Sunday mornings, there have been cars parked on the grass under the trees along the road to the parking lot. This morning there were three. They are compacting the soil where the tree roots are. If you want to discourage this, please post signs and/or move the limestone blocks closer to the road.
Other: There is offensive hate speech graffiti on the bypass B-Line trail (the trail across from the main B-Line trail light post 9 or so). There are multiple places where swastikas, swear words, and mentions of "white power" are spray painted on the paved trail. Please remove/cover this immediately.
This report is for the person that created #192463, in case they are checking on status. What you have reported has been reported before and obviously nothing has been done. The same thing has happened to others and me. I don't know what would constitute negligence on the city's part but... they have dropped the ball on this one. My $.02 is fixing the deep dip and drastically uneven surface at the intersection (that's what took me out) would be the least, installing a reflective post at the corners would be even better, or better yet a railing. Thank you for reporting your friend's experience and I hope they are not gravely injured and are doing okay. With any luck this will be addressed.
Tree leaning and looks like it may fall onto paved trail of B-line, north end. On north side of trail. Approx 1/4 mile from N Adams Street. The tree trunk is near the 4th lamp post, heading south, from the lamp post that has a Bryan Pk commemoration banner.
This evening, March 4, 2024, around 6:11pm, we had 3 male adults ride down the B-Line trail on little motorbikes (not sure what they are technically called). There were 3 individuals. They were at the parking garage off 10th Street before going down the sidewalk to the B-Line, crossing Rogers St. at the trail Cross, and continuing down the B-Line trail towards Fairview St. I was able to take a quick 5second video of them and I screen grabbed a photo of each rider off of that. I however was only able to upload one photo to the form here. I'm not sure if they are allowed on the trail but I was thinking they weren't. If they are allowed it seems very dangerous to other trail users. If not allowed on the trail I am wondering if maybe the city could post a reminder on social media and possibly add signs at different points along the trail to remind users as to what is and isn't allowed on the trail. If you all want the video clip or the other screen grabbed images I am more than happy to get them to you all. Thanks for keeping our trail safe. It's one of my favorite things about Bloomington!
There are two lamp post lights out on the south BLine trail. One at post 10 and the other at post BL27. It poses a safety risk when the area is not well lit. Thank you for fixing this issue.
Hi, It seems there maybe miscommunication within the chain of command or not a 100% buy-in to "best practice" or a little of both. Report #181846 described a problem and its location. Unfortunately the problem has not been addressed in any way. However, it does look as though some one came through with a leaf blower and cleared the cypress leaves that had covered the trail further up towards Southeast park, next to tennis court entrance and wood post. I do very much appreciate that as the the pavement is very bumpy there in the corner and can cause loss of control of bike or scooter as well as trip walkers. I don't have construction experience but have used a shovel in the yard and that is probably all it would take. Just a shovel and one person to remove some soil blocking the current grade from working properly. If that isn't the solution how about adding a thin layer of pavement so runoff goes the other direction. I believe this was done on Renwick trail, there are patches of pavement here and there. Lamp post 134 on B-Line Trail appears to be out. This is a high-priority public safety issue as there have been assaults on this part of the trail recently.
End cap on pickleball post is broken in half and needs replaced. A net is falling apart and needs repaced, Courts are cracking badly after only one year.
