Can this tree be removed? It tends to collect brush & small branches, clogging the creek. (I cleared those away.) This is by the Sycamore shelter, closest to Old State Rd 37 and by the north-most parking lot. Thank you.

The unhoused community on the east side of the trail just south of the Switchyard dog park is causing some issues. This morning I was walking my dogs and noticed a dog running off leash, chasing down deer. It started to come towards us but its owner stepped out of the woods and grabbed it. The dog is obviously just being a dog but the owner needs to have the animal on a leash so it doesn’t injure anyone or get injured by someone who isn’t a fan of dogs. I did notice one of the deer limping.

I noticed on the accessible bump-out that there is a rail to help prevent wheelchairs from ending up in the lake. My suggestion is that all of the bump-outs should have this same safety railing. My son is in a power wheelchair that is more than capable of making it to the smaller bump-outs.
Thank You,

The attached photo shows the detour for the B-Line Trail (closed for Switchyard construction) around 11am today. I had to carry my bike across the void. I am concerned that someone with accessibility issues who cannot lift their bike, or is in a wheelchair, would not be able to get by. The sidewalk on the opposite side of the road is closed as well.
This is the west side of Rogers just north of the Rockport intersection. I do not see how this is allowed to happen.

I've recently noticed the Rail Trail between Country Club Drive and Gordon Pike has sections of large gravel (see attached photo).
I appreciate that maintenance is being done, assuming the City is responsible for this work. But, I am concerned because this large gravel is inconsistent with the existing surface for the trail.
As a bike commuter and runner on this section of the trail, I was disappointed to see large gravel appear on the surface. The Rail Trail is a great surface to run and walk on and commute on. These patches of large gravel pieces diminish it's utility and enjoyment.
Are there plans to use large gravel more often on the trail? I request that the smaller, packed surface be maintained.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you about the maintenance of the trail. Have a great day.

I found a syringe just a foot or two off the B-Line Trail in a clump of spearmint growing behind the orange building at 7th and Madison. Ironically, the syringe was orange too. I left it there, because I am not trained in handling syringes, but it should probably get picked up and disposed of properly.
Thanks,
Yael
