Several of the bridges on the trail at RCA park have severe damage. One of them has been broken for weeks, the other has several broken boards and has become unsafe in the last day. There is also a deep pot hole in the asphalt. I am sending pictures of the problems. I greatly appreciate what all of you do! Thank you!
The footbridge at the entrance to the trails is falling apart - it's probably one child jumping on it away from collapsing and causing injury.
In June, the terrible storms that knocked down many trees all over the city and left many of us without power for days also caused some damage to the trees on the trail loop in RCA park. My backyard is next to the trail, and there is a very tall tree with a massive broken, dead branch that is still hanging on. I foresee this breaking off the tree soon and falling straight onto my backyard fence as well as blocking a portion of the trail. To keep my fence from being destroyed, is it possible to have this branch cut off and removed? I live at 1018 W Countryside Ln.
Near the intersection of Thornton and Buffstone court ( on the right hand side and near middle of sidewalk is a large hornets nest in the ditch. If you walk on the sidewalk they attract you. Two of my neighbors were stung repeatedly this past week. This is dangerous as if you walk down the sidewalk they attack you. Children use this sidewalk to walk to school
There is a weeping willow at the corner of E Southdowns Dr and S Hawthorne that took a hit during this afternoons storm. We have cleaned most of it up and stacked it nearby for pickup. The problem is, there is still a very large, broken limb hanging dangerously above the walkway that we could not reach. For this branch to be removed, will require a lift and bucket to reach. Lower fir tree branches on the inside of the turn obscure traffic approaching the curve. The lower branches should be removed.

There is a pine tree on the corner lot at the northwest corner of Hillside and Woodlawn that is leaning dangerously toward Woodlawn. I drive past it a couple of times a week, and it has worsened significantly in the last few weeks. The rootball is visibly pulling up from the ground. I reported this via the CBU phone number a couple of weeks ago, but nothing has been done yet. I'm concerned the recent freeze and impending thaw will cause the tree to topple.
