Cars speeding on Meadowbrook dr. Several drivers are speeding passed school buses endangering the safety of children . Maybe a sign to get people to slow down or speed bumps would help
Hello, I am the crossing guard for this spot outside of Child’s Elementary school. I have been having issues with people driving dangerously. I am worried about someone being hurt - including myself. People have yelled at me, given me hand gestures, and I have had people purposefully drive quickly towards me to only stop last second before hitting me. I am not the only one who has complaints about this. Nearly all the parents who walk their children through have this complaint and I can get their input too if necessary. I believe a speed radar sign or type of speed bump could help. This road is dangerous and I believe it is only a matter of time before there is an accident.
The city has a long history of not clearing snow, ice, and other debris from the parts of the bike lane on 3rd street that go between the sidewalk and the raised bus stop platforms. The new barriers designed to prevent car drivers from using the bike lane to drop off passengers seem to be compounding the issue, making it impossible for ordinary snow plows to clear the bike lane. Does the city have any plan at all for cleaning the bike lanes with these barriers in place? The job that was done of plowing the bike lane on 3rd between High and Eagleson was not stellar - there are many places where ice extends more than halfway into the bike lane from the curb, increasing the risk of someone slipping on the ice and falling into the path of an unsuspecting car. But we can be thankful that some attempt was made. The bike lane between Eagleson and Henderson is not only useless for bicyclists, but it is now a much greater impediment to pedestrians crossing 3rd than it was prior to the installation of the barriers.
Several concerns : as you exit 3rd st and make yr way up the 150’ turn onto s muller: 1) there are no sidewalks - after the initial work was done near 3rd st. This is a dangerous walk for the tenants in the housing complex down muller. Students etc have to walk in the road 2) there needs to be a speed bump added across from the fire hydrant and across form Steward Electric. Reports will show several accidents here. Once drivers clear the speed bump coming out from the housing area - it’s light them up time down to 3rd st. 3) severe potholes on the first 150 ft up the hill on muller Pkwg off third. Thanking you in advance for reviewing these requests. Ken P
There is a dangerous intersection that needs a crosswalk and a stop sign. Cars zoom past the intersection and it’s hard for students to feel safe going between the luddy building and the Ai building
Campus bike riding lane not cleared of snow, all along campus.
There is no safe way for a pedestrian to cross Smith Road (east to west or west to east) at Fenbrook or Brighton Crest. This is further complicated by the hilly nature of Smith Road and the fact that traffic typically travels much faster than the posted speed limit. It is unsafe for pedestrians, cyclist, and drivers. Sightlines are also very dangerous in this area.
There is a walking trail that is being used as a road for people in the apartment complex’s up the hill. This is a massive safety concern. They have cut a steel cable that once blocked vehicles coming down this road. Please place steel post to prevent anymore vehicles using this walking path.
The stretch of Hillside between High and Henderson is dangerous for all modes of transportation - there is no safe place to make a left-hand turn from any intersection north or south, especially at rush hours. At least one or more signals and/or 4way stops are needed. Please don't wait for accidents to happen to address the problem. thank you
