Graffiti appears on the green fence covering on the north side of Jones Ave behind Forest Quadrangle. I'm not sure if this is considered public, private, or business property since it is presumably that of Indiana University.
The sidewalk on both the front and side of the property at 1700 E Camby Lane (southeast corner of Camby and Durham) is obstructed by low hanging branches and outgrowing vegetation. The HOA for the neighborhood has been notified and hasn't acted to rectify this, other than to send a letter to property owners mentioning overgrowth among other general comments; this hasn't resulted in any action by the homeowner. It's not possible to walk along the sidewalk without walking into tree limbs and/or bushes, so pedestrians must walk in the street on both the front and side sidewalks.

We moved into a new house recently and there is a car parked in front of it on the street. It has been there for months, since we first looked at the house in March. The windows are partly open and the hood is slightly open. It looks to be abandoned. It is in front of our house, which is annoying, but it also jams up the traffic a little bit because it is very close to the entrance to a busy street. Can I have it towed away? We live on S. Highland Avenue just off Hillside. The car is a forest green dodge convertible, I think. I have tried to knock on the neighbor's door to see if they know whose it is but haven't been able to catch them at home, I don't know them otherwise.
Thursday 03/05/2020: My wife was involved in a traffic accident where a lady ran a red light and then merged left into my wife. My wife called BPD to report the accident and officer C. Brummett (ID # 1578) responded. Officer Brummett exchanged the "Drivers Exchange Information" form to both parties. 03/06/2020: My wife called BPD after the 24 hour period following an accident where the law states that ANY VEHICLE ACCIDENT WHERE THE DAMAGES EXCEED $1,000, THE RESPONDING OFFICER SHALL FILE A REPORT. She was able to contact officer Brummett and he said he didn't file a report as there were "only minor damages". My wife explained that the damages to our car alone was $5,000. Officer Brummett stated that he wasn't a body man and couldn't estimate the damages. Officer Brummett then said he would have a report done and filed by Monday (03/09/2020). 03/09/2020: At the time of this writing it is 03/09/2020 @ 3:26PM. A report still hasn't been filed and according to BPD administration officer is out today. They also state that officer Brummett will be in training tomorrow, 03/10/2020, and not available. The person we've been in contact with also refused to let us speak with the Chief of Police about this situation and said to call back tomorrow. This is entirely unacceptable. We need a police report filed to get our BRAND NEW CAR repaired and officer Brummett has been irresponsible in his duties. The law states that the officer SHALL have a report filed within 24 hours. Every night nearly people let off fireworks here in a residence area Tonight is big professional grade fireworks at 10pm. They let off these fireworks most nights. It scares people with PTSD and animals and nohody seems to do anything about it
Living at the Switchyard apartment. This was for the handicap. That is how the grant was started . To help house the handicap. We have all tenants being disabled. Due to move I g the homeless people closer to Switchyard apartment complex. We now have major problems extremely now ! I have had a man living in our stairwell for the last 2 weeks. Shooting up with a needle and is holding a knife! My husband john and I both have been seeing this and my neighbor Anna / Scott also her caregiver jaxx had a close encounter On the stair well . Are apartment complex needs the stairwell in closed and a key pad for access . Every time it rains fillls up with homeless 1:00 2:00 in the morning! Loud drunk and smoking everything!
I have homeless walking in our parking lot upswing on baby trees . Right in front of the apartment at 10:00 am . I have had a old lady to be smoking crack pipe by my front door ! And the homeless are going upstairs and checking doors to be unlocked! You can hear everything in are apartment no fire walls ! You can talk or walk and everyone in the apartment complex can hear it . Most of the people who are renting want to leave due to not being safe ! Help
We have cars flying down Ruby Ln heading to High Street. Our house is on the corner of Ruby and S. Covenanter and they fly down Ruby Lane and turn having headed into the ditch. My main concern is that cars fly down Ruby Lane and we have several families with small children. On the lower side of Ruby Lane there is no sidewalk and these cars are flying down the road. Their speed would kill a pedestrian or a child playing if they got hit. It would be nice with a sign or a speed bump to slow some of the traffic flying down E. Ruby Lane. We never see police officers patrol our neighborhood...not even when we file a report that we are out of town and would like beefed up security checks. The same culprits drive exceedingly fast down both E. Ruby Lane and E. Southdowns Drive and never get ticketed for speeding. If you want to get extra income for the city...that would be the way to do it. Set up a police officer and catch all the drivers driving too fast down these streets.
Theft of holiday lawn ornaments/ animal figures This happened between 12:30-5:30 am. We’ve had these for 20 years. There has been a rash of these thefts, and neighbors are quite concerned Paula Thatcher 812-219-7809
