Trucks are using their engine brakes on the bypass/College Mall Rd. It's very loud. I can hear them inside my house. Perhaps the police department could help restrict the use of engine brakes in this residential area.
Speeding on w. Allen is getting out of hand
The towing company Tow Time at 2620 S. Rogers street. Tow trucks travel down Fairview to W. 7th several times a day racing their engines a driving very fast even when school is in session. The noise from these trucks is so loud that you can still hear them as the get to the down town area. Our neighborhood has complained to the owner and to individual drivers this past summer. The noise is a disruption and a nuisance.
Please, can something be done about cars speeding up and down Winston Street? The posted speed limit is 25mph. I live at 2809 E. Winston. Thank you! Kathy Sheehan
I have started commuting to work on my bicycle and this prevalent and irresponsible action of drivers running red lights, especially when making left turns, just became increasingly dangerous now, more than ever. This happened to me this morning going north on the bypass crossing 3rd street. I had the green signal for more than a second yet the driver continued to make her left turn coming the opposite way, passing behind me! I witness this offense every day and is simply unacceptable.
Another mailbox was hit on Allendale Dr. in Sherwood Oaks neighborhood near the corner of Allendale and Dunstan. This is the 2nd time this mailbox has been hit by a distracted driver in the last month. I live on the corner of Allendale and Dunstan and have witnessed countless drivers fly through the stop sign. This is also a city bus stop as well as my child's school bus stop. I am now in fear of letting my children use the sidewalk to walk to the little library, the park, and friend's homes. We shouldn't have to worry about this in our neighborhood. Many kids, adults, and pets use these sidewalks every day and shouldn't feel scared or worried that they are in danger. My neighbors dog was hit and killed last year at this 4 way stop. Let's do something before another pet or person gets hurt.
We moved into a new house recently and there is a car parked in front of it on the street. It has been there for months, since we first looked at the house in March. The windows are partly open and the hood is slightly open. It looks to be abandoned. It is in front of our house, which is annoying, but it also jams up the traffic a little bit because it is very close to the entrance to a busy street. Can I have it towed away? We live on S. Highland Avenue just off Hillside. The car is a forest green dodge convertible, I think. I have tried to knock on the neighbor's door to see if they know whose it is but haven't been able to catch them at home, I don't know them otherwise.
Blue Buick at 3345 is permanently stationary with no registration I do not know if this is illegal or not. The condo H.O.A. is unresponsive ( Ivy Sells). The owner of this unit is Hoosier Choice Realty. This resident had a visitor that intimidated me in the past . Cars.law.com states an unregistered vehicle in Indiana may not be located on a sidewalk. Hello. There is a problem with reckless driving in the Maple Heights neighborhood. I experience it on my daily walks on Fairview, 11th, Maple, 13th, Jackson, Rogers, etc... I see it and hear it throughout my day specifically on 13th street both west and east directions and Fairview both north and south directions. Frequently, it is a vehicle speeding north on Fairview, then turning east on 13th street. Then just a few minutes later the same car speeds in the reverse directions. Is this some sort of a methamphetamine pickup? I don't know. But it is regular, has been a regular occurrence, and I am tired of it. The worst regular occurrence are negligent, selfish motorists traveling at very high speeds from the east on 13th street heading west to Maple. I was taking in the recycling bin last night and could not believe the speed at which someone drove past me. This is not safe. There is a special needs adolescent in the neighborhood who sometimes dances around in the street. There are children that play and should have every right to play without cars traveling at high speeds past them. This is incredibly dangerous driving in a residential neighborhood and I would appreciate it if the police could enforce the traffic laws prior to their being property damage and/or personal injury. Speeding traffic on East Morningside Drive. Can you do ANYTHING about the speeding traffic on East Morningside Drive?? The posted speed limit is 25mph! I feel like it’s going to take someone being seriously injured before anything is done about it. A lot of residents including myself have had to buy our own yard signs begging people to slow down! I feel our tax dollars should enforce this. Post an officer a few times with a radar and hand out some tickets before it’s too late for gods sake! I’m tired of it! I back my boat in the drive in the summer. I literally have people try to drive around the front of me on the sidewalk once. This is crazy. I’m guess the average speed on the street is 45-50mph. Some I’m sure top 60 mph or faster. Please do something. I live on a slight curve. It’s like taking your life in your hands pulling in. Some moron came around the other day looking at her phone going well over 50 mph I’m sure. Thought I was going to die. I’ve lived in plenty of other towns and work in a different town most everyday. It’s not like this anywhere else. Laws are enforced and people don’t have to beg for help. This is like a highway. Please, help out the Morningside residents.
