This morning, my large recycling bin had been shoved through my lawn with such force that it left a 15" gouge. I can't imagine this was done by a person pushing the bin. I believe it was caused by the lifting arm of the truck being used to push the bin across the sidewalk. I witnessed the arm being used in this way a few weeks ago when the same bin was pushed with such force that its wheels snapped off and had to be repaired by the sanitation department. I would like someone to investigate the way the truck arms are being used and train the sanitation crews to avoid damaging property. I would also like someone to patch my lawn.

Massive piles of trash are blocking the sidewalk as of 8:45pm on Wednesday May 10. Piles are in front of 424 E. 6th Street and 426 E. 6th Street. Hopefully it is trash night and it won't be there in the morning.

Both our trash binn and our recycling bin were damaged by sanitation workers early Tuesday morning. The hinges are broken on both,and they were found tossed on the sidewalk.

Today I've decided to complain about an issue I started regularly noticing months ago. Whoever is now collecting trash &/or recycling on our street, S. Eagleson Av, in the section between 2nd and Sheridon, is routinely dumping the recepticals on their sides on the ground whereever convenient. (See photo) This morning they left my neighor's on the ground blocking the entry way to our common driveway. When I came to move it, I realized they had also broken the lid. Then as I drove south on S.Eagleson, I saw that this was done all the way to Sheridan, where I assume the truck turned. At least half the bins were on their sides, some in the street. I took four photos the whole way, as well as two of my neigbor's receptical- Unfortunately your portal only allows a single photo, but I have all the others. Please address this situation. There is no reason the recepticals can't be placed upright, but at least they should be neither broken nor left on their sides in the street, on a sidewalk or in the entrance to a driveway. The trash/recycling crew left most all cans thrown off the sidewalk, into the road on their sides today. This is not normally the case, and it was absolutely NOT weather related. The trucks woke me up three times today. And then I find my trash can only half emptied, with one bag still in it. Either the trucks are malfunctioning, or someone was in a bit of a hurry to get done with the route.
