Airport road snow plowing and salting-yesterday that is on feb 26 2013 Airport road had many accidents.All between 2:30and 3:30pm.snow started falling after noon but no salt truck or plower came on the road.Iwould like to know why ? I saw trucks after the snow stopped.I am writing this because it was very personal to our family.One car came right into side of our garage .you can see the picture on the Pantagraph.we live in this house for more than 10 years now.i noticed that snow trucks and powers give last priority to Airport road and the streets off the road. As you know there is Normal community high school on Raab road and most of the students and their parents and Unit5 buses use the Airport road.It should be your first priority to salt and plow Airport road as soon as snow starts to accumulate.Please see that you salt and plow before and during the end of the school that is 2:30 pm.I think those accidents could be avoided if your department monitored the condition of the road better.

Large areas of potholes, some very deep, on Highland Avenue. The worst area is just north of Winslow Road, where the Winslow Trail merges with the sidewalk on Highland. Often filled with water so it is difficult to tell how deep they are when driving. Also, large areas of potholes are present on both sides of Rogers Road, toward the top of the hill at the entrance to The Stands neighborhood (up the east hill from the Winslow/High/Rogers Roundabout). 1305 W bloomfield (co-op). Sidewalk on south side of street. Is this one open? A guy was just arrested for walking in the street here. I cant tell what was wrong with him, the sidewalks are all so clear!

East side of rogers, between b line and tenth. 8:35am. City of bloomington bucket truck blocking sidewalk. There were two of them at 8:20am.

The pavement breakup at the intersection of Winslow Farm Drive and So. Highland is really getting awful. I am almost unable to cross that area in my mobility scooter to access the sidewalk to Winslow Sports Complex. Also, a pothole has developed at the SOUTHERN intersection of Moss Creek Drive and Winslow Farm Drive. Several other intersections in Winslow Farm also could use maintenance.

234 miles of city streets to plow, yet the 500 block of West Smith Avenue never gets a clean sweep. For some reason, the snow plow comes up on 300 block Jackson Street heading south, hits the Smith Ave. “T” (Jackson dead ends into Smith), then turns right scooping away leaving 500 block unplowed. (Happened this evening AND the previous snow.) Why not make a U-turn in the Nazarene church parking lot (Fairview/Smith) and finish the job on Smith? I’ve lived at 520 W. Smith Ave. since 1985 and never, repeat “NEVER”, been ‘left out in the snow’. On behalf of all my 500 block neighbors, please advise that this snow removal error is taken care of ASAP. My neighborhood (Park Ridge East) was plowed last night but not this morning. I am an essential worked and need to be at work at 8 am. Also, the section where my house is located, the section of E. Sheffield Dr. between Park Ridge Road and Plymouth is often ignored by the plow. The plowing last night was about 6 feet from my mailbox too. That's a lot of snow to shovel for the mail truck.

Kenwood drive is still covered in snow making it impossible for anyone to leave. Please do a better job in making sure all your citizens receive adequate snow removal service next time.
