Caller states that the city-owned property on the south side of the walking path from N. Maple to Monroe County United Ministries is overgrown. It was determined about 2 months ago that it is the responsibility of the street dept. to maintain.
Owner of 111 W. 4th Street is concerned about north/south/alley between 4th and 3rd (runs along west side of 4th St. parking garage). Some repairs made by city and Duke Energy, she thinks, but not properly paved.
He reported this as a storm sewer issue at first and Tony E. told him all we could do is build up the berm to help keep the water from running into his garage. Mr Mcconnaughy called me and said that's not what he wants. He says the street dept. keeps patching the asphalt in the alley and now it is too high and that causes the water to drain into his garage. He wants the asphalt lowered from University St to his garage (he said about 20') so the existing rock berm he already has will keep the water out of his garage. I told him I would refer this to Street Dept.
Roger Heimer called about pavement sunken at Rusgan & Ramble, Kevin checked this out and determined it is a natural crown in the road.
Customer has a drainage problem Rain water running down the alley and going under his garage door.
Called in complaint of possible sinkhole in front of 3749 E Cameron Avenue. A complaint had been called in a few weeks ago (UReport #159862), and the hole was patched up. She said the hole is back, and it looks as if there is a problem underneath the road that cannot be fixed with a patch.
