5th Street between Jefferson and Union streets is beyond the repair of simply fixing pot holes. Some of the damage on the street is due to property owners fixing their sewer lines and then not repaving the street.
At the intersection of East 10th street and N Smith Rd, N Smith R gets very backed up because traffic does not stop on East 10th. If someone wants to turn left, they have to wait for traffic coming from both ways. There is one lane on N Smith Road so traffic becomes backed up very quickly when someone needs to turn left. This happens especially in the afternoon. Traffic can become so backed up it extends past Meadow Park Apartments, nearing a hill. This can be dangerous when cars cannot see the stopped traffic until after coming over the hill.
There are many potholes and dangerous areas on E. 5th St. that need to be repaired.This is in the Green acres neighborhood and it is east of Hillsdale Dr.
Large Square sodium dusk to dawn security light is ON 24 hrs a day. Photocell is broken and should shut OFF light during daytime. Repair will save $$ energy and extend life of equipment!!
The street light on our street is out, causing our street to be very dark at night and makes us feel unsafe.
The street light at the SE corner of the intersection of 7th and Jefferson streets appears to be out and might need a replacement bulb.
The signal light at Third and Woodcrest always thinks there is a car turning left, even when both East and west traffic in the turn lane is empty
I often find that this light is red for traffic on 3rd street, with many cars stopped and waiting most times I cross this intersection. There is much more traffic on 3rd street than Woodscrest and Hillsdale. It has often led me to believe that the light might be mistimed, biassed towards the traffic crossing 3rd street. I am not at all sure that it is indeed mistimed, but it seems like it, and might be worth checking if there is a way to assess that issue. On the north side of the house (5th Street) trees and bush branches are hanging in the street.
