What's the plan for getting S. Henderson at Winslow to drain properly?
What's the plan for getting S. Henderson at Winslow to drain properly?
There was construction going on for a few months on the entrance into the plaza but has since stopped abruptly. The crew has not been back to finish off the street and all sides of the streets are completely torn apart and damaged. This is unacceptable and can significantly damage one’s vehicle! When is this going to get finished?
Please considering resurfacing South Palmer between Hillside and Grimes. The street is in horrible condition, and as a homeowner and tax payer, I would really appreciate a better-maintained street.
Hello. Wondering what can be done to address this damaged and dangerous block. It greatly limits the street parking available. The sidewalk is also deteriorating. Plus, it makes it hard for the street to have 2 way traffic.
drain covers are sunk too deep below asphalt on patterson
I don't have a current photo but particularly since the utility work completed on this stretch of road the parking spots in front of the shops flood and hold water. The gradient actually seems to slope away from the drain instead of towards. As a result, we frequently have to bail out the parking spots to make them usable for customers. Flooding issues include the accessible parking spot, which poses a risk to the mobility impaired. How can we best collaborate on a solution? Thanks!
Probably not much can be done about this, but the new parking lot over the recently redone culvert downtown by People's Park has a low spot right where the diagonal path crosses through it. The low spot has been accumulating water after rains, and it seems the grading as it is prevents the water from going anywhere. Likely over time this will facilitate degradation of the pavement, but more importantly at present it creates a little lake that pedestrians and bicycles must travel through, and will probably produce a slick spot there when the temperature drops. Is there any way to have this area looked at and have it redone so that water drains away? Not clear if this is a City issue or not, given the entire lot is owned by IU.
We continue to experience recurring flooding and standing water. There is a single small drain outlet on our side of the street. Rising water frequently threatens to enter our retail location, especially when cars pass and cause waves. More photos and video available upon request.
Water and debris pools every time it rains and fills 4 parking spots along W 4th Street
S Clifton Ave (between 1st and 2nd) is in need of a street sweep to clear tree debris that has been accumulating. Because the street lacks a storm drain, all the debris flows into and stops up the swale that serves as the place for storm water to go. After each rain, several buckets of debris (pine needles, leaves, crumbling road surface) have to be removed by us.
