From Old Indiana 37 to 11th Street (especially under the railroad viaduct), the bicycle lane is obstructed with piles of debris – some large and some small. I request that you have a street sweeper drive the whole length.

Thanks for taking this message. The west third bike lane stretch from Franklin at the west to Patterson at the east is filled with hazardous debris and deep gravel, and has been for many months. This has forced dangerous punctures, avoiding hazards by taking more of the safer pavement in the main lanes, thus alarming drivers, and other cyclists using the sidewalk. Please send crews or the machine soon.

Hello! I filed this request yesterday but it says it was filed anonymously, so I just wanted to be sure someone could contact me. It smells very strongly of sewage coming from Cascades Creek at 210 E. Gilbert. We are in the process of purchasing this house and property, and we really don't want to smell it every day! Thank you! :)

There are 4 screws missing from this manhole cover. The smell from the sewage is coming up through the holes and it smells terrible.

Hello!
We still have a very bad sewer odor at 210 E. Gilbert. I first reported this issue in November, 2024. It has not been resolved. We tested the water in the creek, and the ph levels are high, indicating sewage in the water. Here is the report below. Please contact me at 812-322-7997.

My name is Jessica Will and I am a volunteer for the Adopt-A-Stream program.
I usually monitor the Griffy Lake site, but recently learned about water quality concerns in my neighborhood. So, this month, I also tested two sites along the creek running through Matlock Heights and into Cascade Park.
I believe there are strong indicators that our creek contains sewage and that sewage is being fed into Cascade Park. Please see results and observations below.
Site 1 results
pH: 8
Nitrate: 2
Nitrite: 0
Oxygen: 5
Site 2 results
pH: 9
Nitrate: 3
Nitrite: 1
Oxygen: 5
Observations
Elevated pH and nitrate levels may be indicators of sewage or other contamination.
Smells of sewage and detergent were strong at both sites.
Several manholes are placed along the stream, suggesting sewer lines run through the creek.
Please see attached image for site locations (blue pins).
I'm writing to share these results and concerns. I'm also seeking your guidance as to how to get the city involved in additional testing and potential sewage line repair.

At bottom of driveway is larger patch of frozen water. We have had numerous water lines breaking and wonder if this is another? Ice patch is in curb and in street.
