There is a growing pile of garbage behind and alongside the house of 501 S. Mitchell. This adjoins a walkway that links two parts of Hunter Ave and it's just above a waterway that feeds into Jordan River. Reporter is concerned about rats and other sanitation issues that could occur if left untreated.
Mary Friedman originally emailed the Office of the Mayor January 14th, 2016 complaining that this property had been abandoned for the last 5 years. At that time coyotes were living in the home. However, she emailed again October 19th, 2016, saying the property is now being occupied by a group of homeless people.
There are bags of trash and trash scattered on this property.
Jack Morrison's (317-402-0329) Plastic tubs sitting everywhere on the property, gas can sitting beside a natural gas meter. Trash blows from the tubs onto the neighbors property.
