This house has set vacant for almost 20 years, you can smell the mold and rot from a distance. We live very close to this house and see animals climb in and out of the chimney, the inside of this house is completely filled with mold, the floors are totally rotted. It's a major eyesore on our street, and has a major negative impact on our home values.
Sometimes people break into it and it harbors questionable characters especially for a building that isn't livable, has no water or plumbing, etc.
I'm afraid my kids one day will try to explore it since it's not locked, and they get hurt inside (I've explicitly told them to stay away from this building).
Nothing on this property is maintained and since living one house down from this place, we have never once seen anyone come to mow, maintain, clean, etc. this property. We notice a lot of mosquitoes from this property and it worries us with new diseases developing with mosquitoes, this puts our neighborhoods kids and people in general at risk.
I would highly recommend this get condemned. It's within City Limits.

The two building directly to the north of my building are currently unsafe with multiple viewings of homeless and users coming and going from in between the buildings. It's not safe for anybody to be back there with the activity that happens daily. The light on that property is also out and there have been homeless camping in the unkept wooded area behind my property that is owned by the City. I thought that the two buildings were to be torn down at one point, but it seems that the issues were temporarily fixed and the owner was allowed to keep the buildings up. Please call or email with questions in regards to this situation.

While the abandoned home just north of my building has been boarded up by the property owner, the homeless are now entering the home by using the back porch stair/deck railing and hoisting themselves to the roof deck above and then entering through the sliding door there. I caught one popping their head up to see who pulled up yesterday morning, noticed that I saw him and then he ducked down below the windows. Windows are being covered up and doors are propped open on the front/back to allow a nice stream of air throughout to what seems to be the entire upstairs. The inability of the property owner to secure the ENTIRE home from entry by homeless is frustrating and should be taken seriously by the property owner because of the safety concerns that these instances create for myself, my family, my customers and many other citizens of Bloomington that are visiting Chocolate Moose, Bedrak and apartments near this location. Please advise on how this will be handled. Thank you.
