See closed case #184736: in front of Mother Bear's on E Third Street. The metal drain cover on the sidewalk again has fallen in and is a tripping hazard for pedestrians. Maybe it is time to look for a more permanent solution rather than just putting it back in its place.
Large shrub in front of house is so large that it is mostly preventing use of the sidewalk right there. House might be an IU property. Does City have jurisdiction over Campus?
There are two bushes along N Woodlawn Ave (but one in particular that I am singling out in this complaint) that is growing over onto the sidewalk. It takes up about half the sidewalk and requires people to step onto the road verge when passing another person.
Overgrowth of foliage and brush from the property at 701 N Woodlawn Ave extends into the sidewalk and poses a hazard to pedestrians and passerby. Google Maps lists the property as bearing the addresses 701, 703 & 705; or 829 E Cottage Grove Ave.
The weeds are becoming a safety hazard for the neighborhood. We can't see around them to drive, make turns, or children playing. Can the weeds by the sidewalk be removed for better safety?

The prior uReport was finalized by saying the issue was mitigated. I walked by this morning and it hasn't been mitigated. The missing sidewalk is on the west side of Sare Rd about 200 yards south of Moore's. It's across the street from the Verona Coffee shop. this washed out patch is a fairly serious safety issue for cars and pedestrians. Due to recent work on a sidewalk on Clover Lane, orange traffic cones were available, and were placed at the site of the hole to reduce the risk of an accident. City personnel came to see the issue, and took away the traffic cones, thereby increasing the risk of an accident. City personnel informed me that the hole would be repaired "soon" by the fiber optics installation contractor. While I understand that this sort of thing takes some time to coordinate and complete, the removal of the orange cone and the lack of a repair, is creating a safety risk for cars and pedestrians in the area. thanks, kelly
