The huge stone marker describing the history of McDoel is gone. This was funded by a grant from HAND in 1999. It sat on park property. Someone stole it, and it was too heavy for one person to lift.
There has been a couch sitting in front of house for atleast 2 weeks. No tag observed for trash pick up.
We were told by the crew that created the sidewalk on Sare Road that our hill on that side of our fence would be no-mow foliage or no-mow grass. It is currently as long as the other side of the new sidewalk. It is not safe for us to mow it with only having a zero-turn mower. How can we get it switched to the no-mow foliage we were told would be planted?
Kirby Alley is tagged as a street in the City's GIS system and this appears to be a mistake. It shows up in the City's street centerline product published on the City's data portal. For planning, streets this close to downtown would have sidewalks, but alleys do not. This is also a traffic issue. Having this alley tagged as a street means that Google Maps (shown in image) and other software will give driving directions down the alley, which is usually not intended or desired for pass-through traffic.
The road/sidewalk construction crew sprayed concrete on my car as I was driving down the street. I assume they were cleaning out the cement truck, but ended up spraying the hose as I drove by splattering my car with cement and rocks. I think it will all wipe off and not harden on the car, but I'm not exactly happy about it or having to clean it up.

The property at 708 S Adams St. is in a very run-down condition and it is at times being used by homeless people and they have been caught carrying property out of the house. The police have been called on these issues. However, our church Adams St. Chapel own's the propertiy connecting with this house at 712 S. Adams St. and are concerned for our pastorial family who have recently moved in that there could be issues with people living in and coming and going in the 708 residence. We would like to get it boarded up or condemed so that it is off limits to anyone and we would feel much safer. Please let us know if anything can be done to get this place condemed as unfit for anyone to live in. The lady who lived in it was admitted to Golden Living Nursing Home and her name is Margret Lamb. Since the end of the construction on 17th St, a crosswalk sign along with its pole has been lying on the ground. Several times, because it was an obstacle on the sidepath, I moved it to the side. The crosswalk is over 17th St just east of N Arlington Park Dr. It has curb cuts for a cross walk while it's not painted in the street. The sign should be either put up or taken away.
