we have a high volume of traffic. The traffic is in the form of many cars, buses, bikers, scooters, and walkers. There are no speed limit signs on the street. Additionally, there is no pedestrian crossing. Additionally, I would like to request a stop sign at the corner of University and Eagle Avenue. This is to slow traffic. Currently, cars and buses drive over the speed limit as a regular Habit. It is loud, and dangerous to the other Traffic, such as walkers. The cars are dominant on the street. Even if there is a parent with a baby in a stroller, they will still run through the stop sign and drive around the baby. It is chaotic and out of control. It is also very loud. Something needs to be done to address the situation. My suggestion is pedestrian crossways at first and Eagleson, University and Eagleson, and a stop sign at University and Eagleson. Additionally, we need some signs that tell people what the speed limit is. It should be 25 mph. It is a residential neighborhood.
Trees, planted between the street and sidewalk, are overgrown into the street blocking line of sight and scrapping against vehicles as they drive by.
Bushes planted in the corner around the utility boxes are blocking the sidewalk
The sidewalk on the north side of Moore's Pike by the AMC Theater is overgrown. Bushes nearly block the sidewalk and the grass is waist-high. I'm guessing that they have ceased caring for the property due to movie theaters being closed.
Please remove the One Way sign that is on the North side of third street near S Mitchell. There is one on the left which clearly lets you know the traffic coming from the left is one way towards you, however this one make it look like you can turn right into the parking lot on the north side which has so not enter signs. It is unnecessary and confusing.
Construction (milestone) crew blocking the road without proper MOT for multiple days. If this were my crew, the City would have already fined me.
When there is medium to heavy traffic, this 4-way stop sign between Jonathan Dr and Alexander Dr becomes dangerous. Drivers lose their patience and take off when it is not their turn, resulting in near accidents and testy confrontations. Additionally, the traffic begins to back up into the more busy streets (3rd St and the shopping plaza), causing further delays. We need a roundabout at this 4-way stop to alleviate traffic and dangerous interactions. This would also provide better crossing infrastructure for pedestrians who use the sidewalk. Thank you!
One week ago, people were laying internet cable in our neighborhood. They left last Friday, but there are still sizeable holes in the streets, each of which is an injury and lawsuit waiting to happen. My yard has a hole in the grass and a pile of dirt. There are no covers for these holes, and they are very dangerous for kids and adults (its a walk-to-school route). This work was carried out with no notice to the households, and they left it unfinished with no safety precautions. I live at 1011 S. Greenwood Ave. This photo is of one the holes at the corner of Rose and Dexter, which I have to avoid while biking to work. It's about 10" across. Can you make sure that these holes are covered and that the dirt in my yard is cleared up? Thanks.
There is a surveillance camera at the construction property on Grimes and Henderson. Thought it was a street light at first but then realized it was a surveillance camera, feel that it is against public privacy, especially since it is located at a construction site with private contractors.
