People are blowing through this 4 way stop from all directions! This has always been an issue, but even more so from where the road has been closed for so long. There are many residents and pedestrians that cross here which makes it a very unsafe situation. Rumble strips or a temporary flashing stop sign might remind people that they need to stop here!
So this truck initially was blocking the walk over on the trail at second and Morton area by Kroger traffic was backed up, but he decided that he put his truck over the crossover anyway then before he pulled away through a cigarette out right in front of me and other people I was able to catch up with him on my bicycle. I hate complaining, but you know we pay these people money to do work for us and they come in to our city and they litter like that. It just doesn’t sit well.
I think the new construction on Sare Road is making the road very narrow, maybe even narrower than the walking path being put in. Does the new, narrowed road meet the width requirements of the Master Thoroughfare Plan? It seems like it is not wide enough, and should be checked. Thank you.
The multiuse path on the west side of Sare Rd from Rogers to David has numerous locations where the vegetation blocks the complete use of the path. The problem is most severe at the south end but there are other places up to Moore's Pike with similar issues.
Sidewalks on west side of Sare Rd are becoming very challenging to use. Trees and bushes have encroached the point of having to step of sidewalk. In other areas the width has been reduced to half.
Taylor or Young or both trucking is hauling dirt to the quarry behind the motels on Rd46 and as they leave the road they are making a mess and not cleaning it up. Part of the road was recently repaved because of them and now they need to clean up the road all the time not just when they feel like it. I keep my cars clean and I should not have to drive though dirt and mud to leave my house.
My wife and I live at 515 W 3rd st, in Prospect Hill. I would like to request a simple upgrade to the functionality of the pedestrian signals at the S. Rogers st. and W. 3rd st. traffic interchange. I will reference the City of Chicago as a best practice. In Chicago, in almost every intersection with a traffic light, all pedestrian signals utilize the following sequence: a) When the light turns green, the white walk icon light actuates. b) When the pedestrian signal reaches the 30 second level (sometimes more or less than 30 seconds, depending on the overall duration of the light), the white walk signal changes to a red blinking don't walk icon and countdown timer, which counts down the remaining walk time. c) When the timer reaches 0, the blinking light changes to a full red don't walk icon. This coincides with the traffic light turning yellow. d) This functionality is in place 24/7/365. This functionality provides crucially important situational information to both drivers and pedestrians on the status of the traffic light. This is especially important as we somewhat frequently witness incidents of road rage at this intersection, as an unintended consequence of the no right turn on red signage that has been placed at this intersection. I am generally supportive of the no right turn on red signs, but the signage has definitely created this new issue. Because this functionality already exists at this intersection (in some pedestrian signals, at some times of the day), there should not be any material cost to make this change. Each of the 4 corners has a button for the walk signal in each direction EXCEPT for the NE corner, which has only one. That should have 2 as well.
The bushes on the left behind Arby's and bordering Best Buy are overgrown. This affects line of sight from anyone turning left from CVS area going toward Aldis. They definitely need to be trimmed but not sure if it's a city issue for Best Buy issue.

We have 3 properties 1601 S Walnut, 1705 S Walnut, and 1701 S Walnut have all had recurring drainage and piping issues ever since AEG drilled into the street not too long ago. I would like to know if there is someone I can speak too over the phone regarding these issues, we are constantly getting tenant complaints even after we address these issues which makes me, and others, believe there is a larger issue going on. Please direct me in the best way to get this resolved ASAP.
