A citizen called in and explained that a curb in this area caused damage to their tire and has caused damage to others. She wanted to make sure it was reported. She said it was near the first speed bump on Morningside, right off Smith Road. She's already been informed of how to file a tort claim for the incident.
Ridgefield IV neighborhood Bob Shaw is the developer. Bob tore out sidewalks august 2022 without city’s permission. Almost 2 yrs later and still no sidewalks. 3 residents with disabilities(one uses a scooter) along with multiple children in neighborhood. We need accessible sidewalks and for the city to go after Bob Shaw!
Like no water no school school zone signs or school crossing right there for the kids coming from the school there is no school zone sign anywhere on 17th Street or the one coming down the hill
There are 4 grade schoolers and a toddler living at 1402 W 8th. Several residents in Waterman push strollers. A blind man and his service dog walk to/from his home on West 8th. Drivers occasionally reach 50 mph on 8th street. A "slow children" sign might slow them down.
We were asked to follow up on previous report, employees walking across Miller-Showers have low lighting, low visibility near crosswalk. They are opting to drive instead of walk from Walnut. Would like to see improved street lighting in this area, and reflectors on crosswalk paint.
This 4th street corridor path has weed growing up through the path along the western end. It sure would be good if it was regularly maintained and kept free of vegetation.
New BRU burger building has multiple downspouts that drain directly onto the Grant Street sidewalk. I don't believe this is allowed with new construction?
Not really an issue per say. More a general question. For people walking down third street is there any way for them speed up the light change when there is no cross traffic coming? I normally try to give it two minutes to change? I've noticed it doesn't change automatically unless there is physical cross traffic sitting at the light. Some nights I have enough time to truly wait other nights when running late waiting there is far to much time in my own opinion. If there isn't that's cool. As I said I'm just curious. It seems with the hospital construction that the speed limit signs (20MPH) coming onto E Discovery Pkwy from the bypass were never replaced. There is also a "children at play" sign way up on the hill by the childcare's fence, but there is nothing within driver view, near the road, that indicates this area should be slower and that children may be present. Could you please consider adding these signs for the safety of the children? People have been FLYING through there at 40+ MPH. Thank you.
Construction site at 3rd street and Pete Ellis has setup their construction fencing in the bike line along Pete Ellis. Was this intended and permitted?
