Neighbors behind us have outdoor fires in a metal pit many nights. I don’t think they’re cooking for 3 or 4 hours. It often smells like they’re burning things other than wood. It smells bad tonight.

Hello, I have concern about the back row of apartments at The Crossing on Pete Ellis. There is limited space (about 3 feet) between the wooden patio fences and forest area. People smoke and throw cigarettes over balconies. Maintenance workers also smoke during the day. Currently they are working on painting indoor at some apartments, painting outdoor hallways and working on patios. Could you please help ensure safety of the residents? Thank you.
Neighbors at 904 S Westhill st Bloomington Were burning brush last night May 9th. The whole neighborhood was smoky and smelled until at least Nin Oclock. I worry they will continue.
We are smelling wood burning smoke almost every evening and night, sometimes during day time too. The smell is very strong that we have to close our windows until midnight and many times pass midnight. Despite many nightime investigation walks, we couldn't locate the source of the smell. It maybe coming from different houses. During a pandemic that targets respiration system, burning wood for recreational purposes is a hard to understand human behaviour. I suppose there is nothing to do, from a legal perspective, to stop this unreasonable action. But I wonder if an announcement by the City to invite the citizens to behave responsibly would be effective. Thank you for considering.
Please forward to fire department that Kroger on Liberty drive had so much retail this morning that 1 aisle was less than 1 person width

Hello, I live at 346 S. Rogers St. My neighbor to the west has started lighting fires very frequently the last few weeks and my concern is that it is right by the public alley and by a wood fence. I have attached a picture from last night. I have one in the daylight to show location; however, can only upload one picture. Is there a way to have him move fire grate further in to his property? I have seen flames as high as 8 feet. I believe this is a dangerous situation for people going through alley.
Fire Department: There are several fire hydrants (on Jordan Extension and other places) not marked in the middle of the road with blue reflectors. 2. On two occasions I have seen tanker trucks filling up orange road barriers with water. Seems risky to take the water from those trucks for any other purpose than fighting fires.
