The City of Bloomington government has done a horrific job with the B-Line Trail detour due to the trail closure in Switchyard Park. But, the City of Bloomington government has a history of doing a horrific job with all things traffic, roads, and detour related, so I guess in the end: who is surprised? The detour was announced on October 23rd via the Office of the Mayor's Facebook page stating it would last for about 2 weeks. Local news sources reported on that fact as well. Now, 22 days later the trail is still closed. I had to call Parks & Rec to ask, because no updates are available online. I called because I need to get into town but the detour path is not safe. Last time I rode the detour it had a lot of gravel, sand, overgrowth, and other hazards. I do not understand why the City cannot at the least keep people updated on the closure when it goes beyond the stated 2 weeks from the Mayor's office. And, maybe going a step further, clean up the detour path? I know, I know - maintaining a multi-use path would be a lot to ask in this town.

For the past ten days, garbage and trash has continually been added to this second story porch. There is also animal waste as the owner’s 2 dogs were locked outside previously. With the warming weather, this trash is unsanitary and very foul-smelling to neighbors. The landlord’s number at The Crossing at Pete Ellis says they’re not in office until May, so there’s no way to leave a voicemail to ask the apt landlord to address this issue internally. I live directly behind this apt at 3405 E Longview at Colonial East, but this 2nd story apt is part of The Crossing at Pete Ellis - I believe this address is near or at 3244 Braeside Dr., Bloomington IN. We would like these neighbors to remove the smelly trash from their porch to the proper trash containers on the property instead of continually adding to the pile.

The intersection of Pete Ellis Dr./Discovery Parkway and 10th Street is used by residents of numerous apartment complexes, bus riders, and community members accessing the post office and the greenway that goes along 10th St. The intersection is necessary for access to Indiana University from Woodbridge and Fountain Park Apartments, which hosts many graduate students. However, there is no crosswalk, pedestrian lights, or sidewalk platforms to allow for safe crossing along this very busy intersection. Additionally, the traffic lights are not able to be seen from the four corners of the intersection, forcing pedestrians to make an educated guess on when to cross. In short, the intersection is dangerous and near impossible to cross. Would it be at all possible in the future to include a) a crosswalk b) a pedestrian crosswalk light c) sidewalk cutout/curb ramps on the two corners in which there is not one currently? This intersection needs a left turn only lane for cars turning off of 10th St. North onto Range Road. Sometimes cars in the lane for going straight swerve into the right lane to get around cars waiting to turn left even though visibility for this is poor and could confuse drivers turning right onto 10th St. from Pete Ellis. Just park in the post office parking lot and observe this intersection around 5 - 6 pm on a weekday and you can see for yourself. A left turn lane would greatly reduce accidents at this intersection.

5 BOXES STACKED IN SIDE OF EACH OTHER HAVE BEEN DUMPED IN FRONT OF 3212 SOUTHERN OAKS DR. THE BOXES HAVE AND ADDRESS ON THEM AND KATHY WANTS THEM GONE TODAY AND THE HAND OFFICE TO CONTACT THE PERSON WHO IS DUMPING THE BOXES.

K-Mart East sidewalk on Clarizz Dr. is full of snow all the time. Complaintant has spoken with K-Mart who told her to call their corp. office in New York that it was up to them. She said this is a continual problem. Call complaintant with info.

There is a loose cord from one end of the building in the grass to the “office” unit of the apartment complex. This presents a personal safety hazard to myself and my animal.
