Trash

314 S Arbutus DR

Case Date:
1/26/2012

Resident claimed that trash crew has broken the handles on three trash cans in the last month. When speaking with resident, I advised that it would be highly unusual for that to occur and he might attempt to take the cans back to the store they were purchased from a month ago. I also advised that handles frequently break when cans are overweight. Resident had not been written up for cans being overweight in the last month. We provided resident with one trash can. I informed him that we would not be able to provide him with cans again. After the can was delivered Dan Baugh noted that the cans are always overweight at this particular residence and that would be why the handles break. Dan also stated that his crew had not broken the handles of three different cans within the last month. I asked that Dan please start writing this resident up for overweight trash to maintain appropriate records and that he not pick the trash up when it is over 40 pounds per can.

Recycling

Case Date:

Courtesy pickup approved by Shelby. Recycling was not picked up at this residence by truck due to the truck not being able to back down the cul de sac due to vehicles blocking it. This has happened several times in the past. I spoke with resident and advised that I had contacted his rental company again so that they could speak with tenants again about proper parking of vehicles. Resident understands that we will not be able to do another courtesy pickup.
