excessive weeds growing in front yard, hanging over the road, blocking full road access for cars/pedestrians. weeds about 3 foot high. Looks to be between 2601 and 2615 e dekist.
Also present are various items on display in a stand at 2601 e dekist, looks to be trash/refuse and easy to blow off the stand into the road, polluting the neighborhood. There is also food produce displayed here with no refrigeration or container, encouraging rodents/vermin and rotten food items near where children play.
I am concerned this resident is not keeping up to city living standards and the 'communal living' center that seems to be run here is suspected of having more than 3 unrelated adults living here. If other residents are held to a city-defined standard, so should this address.

A large pothole located at the intersection of N. College Avenue and W. Riley Drive in Bloomington, Indiana. The pothole is situated directly at the entrance to the Steak ’n Shake and Granite Apartments.
This pothole is significant in size and depth, creating a potential hazard for drivers entering or exiting the area. It poses a high risk of causing damage to vehicles, including tire blowouts, wheel damage, or suspension issues. Additionally, its location at a busy entrance increases the chances of accidents or traffic disruption.
I recommend that the pothole be inspected and repaired as soon as possible to prevent damage to vehicles and to maintain road safety in this high-traffic area.

This building has had a rat infestation for the past 10 years. The building is managed by Granite Student Living. There are bait traps placed around the building but these have not been helping. The rats are coming into the house, they are in the walls, and they are even entering living spaces through holes in the floor and holes in cabinets. The rat population at this location is growing due to the condition of the dumpster on site (see attached photo). The dumpster sits open with no lid, is often overflowing, and sits inside a wooden structure that the rats are using to climb up and into the dumpster. The house itself has not been completely sealed up from the outside to take away access points either. Additionally, there is no lighting in the back parking lot between the house and the dumpster, which creates an environment for rats to thrive, and also presents a safety concern for tenants. Granite has been made aware of these concerns but they have already stated "there are no plans to change lighting or the trash situation." Please have this matter looked into.
