Subject: Complaint Regarding Property at 402 E 1st Street Dear Bloomington Town Department, I am writing to formally report an ongoing issue at the property located at 402 E 1st Street. Early this morning (December 6), while cleaning up trash that had blown into my yard, I noticed excessive garbage left in their backyard. The bags are torn open, and the mess has begun attracting animals; just last week, while I was traveling, several neighbors reported seeing a coyote in the area. This property, which I believe is a rental, has been a recurring source of disruption in our neighborhood. In addition to improper waste disposal, previous incidents have included: • Smoking cannabis openly in the backyard. • Loud parties continuing until 4:00 a.m. • Unauthorized backyard fires without proper safety measures like a firepit. • Failure to maintain the property, such as leaving fallen leaves uncollected. I kindly request the town to investigate these concerns and take appropriate action to address the situation, ensuring the safety and well-being of our community. If I must report my concerns to another department, please let me know. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Bad patch job after fiber installation that left a big crest and divot

Hello , During the month of December 2024, there was utility work done on my property while I was away for the winter break. When I returned, there was 1.5 feet of snow; however, since it has melted, I have seen the damage that was done to my front yard - see the attached photos. There are two holes in my lawn (photo on right) and the crew stained my limestone walkway (photo on left). Can you please send the utility company to repair these damages as soon as possible? Massive pot hole on the corner of 1st and Lincoln

Can you PLEASE fill the more than 12 extremely dangerously deep potholes all the way down 1st St from Henderson to Walnut. I was almost hit head on by another car trying to avoid a huge pothole on their side of the road, while I was also trying to avoid going into one as I swerved to avoid the collision. The number of very dangerous potholes down this section of 1st St is a huge safety hazard for cars, cyclists and pedestrians. Thank you in advance for your speedy response to this very dangerous situation.
