There is an individual that has multiple "yard/garage sale ALL WEEK" signs posted on city road signs, as well as on some sort of easel/stand situation which is located on the eastbound side of W. 3rd St., across from the entrance to what I believe is S. Yancy Lane, where they live and have posted the other signage attached to the city/county signs. Please remove these signs immediately, and advise the person that this is not acceptable.
There is puddle of dirt and filth that settles in the alleyway between Lincoln and Grant Street. It is a continuing struggle.
I wanted to let someone be aware that while driving home yesterday (9/8/25) around 3:20pm, there was a city vehicle pulling onto 69 south from 46. This driver was flying - once he passed me he kept flying. I was speeding myself at 80mph(in my personal vehicle) and i couldn't keep up. He got behind a semi in the middle lane and i took the left lane to pass. Not only was he going 80 he was also talking on his hand held phone. He eventually passed me again and kept going onto 37 south past the light at Victor Pike. He was in car #503. I could care less if he was in his personal vehicle but he was in a city vehicle, what a horrible way to represent this city! I couldn't have been more disappointed in our city knowing we have employees like that. I would hope someone is able to address this employee regarding his driving in a city vehicle. thanks!
The school zone flashing lights did not appear to be flashing heading west (towards High Street) on 2nd street right before the school, despite children, crossing guards, and school busses present. (The lights were flashing heading east at the same time).
September 3, 2025 To the City Council, I am writing as a resident and concerned neighbor regarding the property at 2212 S Belhaven Court. Since Friday, August 29, the owners pulled all their belongings out of the garage and left them sitting on the driveway and even out onto the public sidewalk. Among the items are an old water heater and a refrigerator, left sitting there unsecured, along with various other household clutter. It has now been several days, and nothing has been done. The sidewalk is blocked, and frankly, it looks terrible for the neighborhood. Years ago, folks in Sycamore Knolls had the pride and courtesy to keep their property in order and not let things spill out into public space. It’s disheartening to see that kind of respect for neighbors and community slipping away. I urge the city to look into this matter and see that these items are removed promptly. For more than two weeks, the owner has let a man sleep in a tent in her side yard. The man sleeping in the tent is a registered sex offender. He has all of his belongings under tarps. It's a mess.
