Pavillion Properties owns the empty parking lot to the north of us. It always collects trash, needles, etc. No one cleans it up and its reflecting on our business (Vanished Aesthetics and Contouring) next door. Is there anything that can be done about this?
Neighbor (pavillion properties) leaves the gravel pit unattended and the trash is overflowing, there is waste and needles all over the lot. There is now a mattress where homeless are sleeping. It is creating risk for clients and staff. He should be penalized for not maintaining the property.
I am hopeful that I am not the first to complain about the volume at which OrangeTheory plays music and the trainers yell on the microphone. My wife and I were walking from a store on kirkwood and wanted to grab lunch at the Farm. As we passed OrangeTheory we were surprised how loud the session was as we had to cover our own ears. When arriving at the Farm the music was still very loud and disturbing that we chose to walk farther away to The Tap (nothing like workout music to and yelling to ruin a peaceful lunch outside). It would be devastating if my favorite street in Bloomington continues to have loud disruptive music and yelling that would certainly drive business and casual visitors away. I am an IU alum (Masters of Science 2011, Doctorate of Philosophy 2015) and love the city of Bloomington.
The workers are being illegally stripped of their earnings by the management. In an incident that occurred Saturday ( June 19th), I believe, a waitress had a large party of 15 guests walk out on her without paying the bill. The manager then made her pay their bill out of her own pocket which was hundreds of dollars. This is also not the first time I have heard of this restaurant doing such a thing. This is not only Illegal but extremely abhorrent behavior. I am emailing and contacting as many governmental authorities as I can so that something can be done about this. If you have any better leads on where I can talk to the right people about this abuse of power please let me know.
The ZBT Fraternity can be found through Google as being a fraternity house. They are on cease and desist as well as not able to operate in the neighborhood.
Received an anonymous voice mail in ESD with a phone # 317-468-3545. He is complaining of a potential business going in at this address where there are tents & smokers in the back. His main complaint is the smoke generating from this location is annoying to the neighbors. Reported written by Susan Coates.
Someone cut the majority of the Ukraine flag down off our building. They had to have had scissors and some kind of a ladder to do it, so it wouldn't have been a spur of the moment thing. Not expecting the city to do anything; just wanted to let you know in case there were other incidences of vandalism that might be similar and help in identifying a person or pattern. Thanks!
Why was feedback on the mural at 11th & rogers only asked for with simply one design submitted? And to that point, why was feedback submitted not taken? Public sees absolutely no changes to the proposed design and leaves us feeling the same way when the gateway was decided unilaterally at miller park. At least in that instance council stepped in to halt the design. Is the artwork at hopewell going to be treated the same way? Public feedback submitted but has no impact on actual result for our neighborhoods and city? Disappointing.
