People at this address installed a speed bump in the roadway about a foot before infront of their house.
Not sure if this is an unauthorized speed bump but I believe it is. It is about a foot from this location of residence, I believe they placed it there themselves. 1660 W Eighth St Bloomington, IN 47404 United States
The turf field at Twin Lakes is becoming unsafe to play on. Multiple spots have lost the rubber/grass/turf parts - which already causes slips and potential injuries. This particular picture shows a section that has worn completely through the turf/grass and all the way through the base layer and exposes the concrete floor underneath. At some point, a liability waiver won't cover injuries caused by unsafe facilities.
Sunken patch of pavement
Queer folk are under heavy attack right now. I didn't know if the City might be able to host a drag brunch or otherwise do something to push back a bit as a town that cares but it would be awesome if so.
I've been playing Ultimate Frisbee in this community for a number of years. One of the more prominent, competitive, and fun seasons in the calendar is Winter League shiv has been held at Twin Lakes for a long as I can remember. I've also played in a few soccer outings on that indoor turf and I can only imagine how many other activities take place on the indoor soccer turf. In some years past, the turf was getting a bit past the normal wear-and-tear stage but this year has been ridiculous. There are some patches of the field that have worn down into the concrete below. This is far past unacceptable. Is love to continue to play Ultimate, soccer, and participate in other activities that may use this turf however if the conditions are not improved, I feel that I will need to seek other locations to enjoy these activities
The condition of the turf on the walled-in multi-sport field is getting pretty dangerous. There are some large exposed seams and bald patches. I've seen someone roll their ankle right on the seam. Playing at the facility from January through March is one of my favorite things in all of Bloomington, so this is coming from a place of love. I'm hoping the playing surface is either replaced or repaired by next winter. Thanks
The turf on the field needs some working on. Rock hard, terrible for knees or impact situations.
The turf field at Twin Lakes is in dire need of full replacement, no additional patch work. It has become a full on health concern to youth and adults that rent the space and play on the turf. I have seen both youth and adults obtain an injury from the many poorly patched area, open seams with exposed concrete, and over all warm/matted down turf through out the entire field.
