I received a notice in the mail of an overdue parking citation. It had been issued on 6/20/24 and the notice said that I had failed to pay it within 14 days, so the fine was now doubled. However, I never saw the parking ticket on my car, and I never received any other notice that I had received a ticket. I do not think that this is a fair system, as parking tickets left on cars can be tampered with by other people. I have paid this parking ticket, but I'd like you to look into this policy and consider changing it so that there is some way to ensure that the person receiving a ticket actually sees it in time to pay it before it is doubled. The storm on tuesday caused damage to the city trees along the front of Bentley Court subdivision on Winslow Rd. The sidewalks were blocked with debris. And one of the big trees west of neighborhood entry has a HUGE branch balancing in the tree canopy above power lines. I cannot speak for what tree damage is east of our neighborhood entry as the sidewalk was blocked with fallen trees.
