Sidewalk on street corner and in front of houses on Smith not shovelled
There is a transient person in the Walnut Street parking garage skywalk.
Traffic light is not turning free to allow traffic to turn left onto eastbound Bloomfield Rd from the ramp. Traffic is either having to run the red light or turn the other direction & make a U turn in front of Sams Club.
No access to bus stop because of snow accumulation
Sidewalk in front of house untouched, a foot of snow. People are having to walk in the street
Sidewalk along tenth from the bypass to the train underpass not shoveled
Both sidewalks extending from the northwest corner of Kirkwood and Indiana are badly unshoveled – possibly never shoveled at all. This is utterly disgraceful in an area of very high pedestrian traffic in front of Sample Gates. It is perhaps the poster child of how ineffective the law is in Bloomington. The photos were taken on January 29, 2026 at 12.57 PM – four days after the end of the snowstorm.
I have not been able to park my car in the parking spot behind my house because the alley has still not been cleared, even though the case was reported as closed. Street parking is off limits as well due to snow blocking the spots. All of the stores are out of shovels, so there really is nothing I can do.
The sidewalk on the south side of 6th Street, from Dunn to Indiana, is badly unshoveled. It is quite revealing that large parking lots for CARS are completely cleared long before the pedestrian sidewalks RIGHT NEXT TO THEM remain neglected. Photo taken 2026 Jan 29 – 1:00 PM
