I was recently in Bloomington and saw the giant electric buses driving around. I wanted to point out that you could waste taxpayer money faster by just placing it directly into any toilet and depressing the flush lever.
I’m writing to express concern about the current condition of the Twin Lakes Recreation Center. As a member for several years who regularly participates in several of the free classes offered, I’ve seen the facility over time and feel it’s important to share these concerns. While the Center has great potential, several ongoing issues are significantly impacting the overall experience. First, the lack of music in the workout areas makes the environment feel uninviting and low-energy. Music is a basic expectation in most fitness spaces and plays an important role in motivation. Additionally, much of the equipment appears outdated and in need of replacement or maintenance. This not only affects usability but can also raise safety concerns. Along those same lines, the furniture throughout the facility is worn and visibly old, which contributes to an overall impression that the space is not being adequately maintained. There are also operational issues that need attention. Broken clocks throughout the facility make it difficult for folks to manage their time effectively during workouts or classes. On top of that, the limited class availability does not meet the community's needs, especially for those who rely on structured fitness options. It would be nice to have multiple time slots for the HIIT and Bootcamp classes! Taken together, these issues create an experience that falls short of what a community recreation facility should provide. I hope these concerns are taken seriously and that improvements can be made to better serve the community. Thank you.
The street light over the mailboxes at 2700 South McCartney Lane was turned over to city when McCartney Lane became a city street rather than a private street. It is no longer maintained by the HOA because of that. It has burned out and makes that area dark and dangerous. Can it be changed, please? Thanks - Vickie Temple Davison Resident at 2724 South McCartney 812-322-4124
Raised sidewalk (both sides of slab) caused by tree roots in easement causing tripping hazard.
Dead black cat on N Smith Rd by the crosswalk at the intersection of Grandview and Smith.
I have two requests: 1. Street trees need to be trimmed up. The new Post Office vehicles are taller and hitting lower tree branch. Other delivery trucks have the same trouble. If this is not a City’s issue please contact the Renwick HOA. My address is 1891 S Renwick Blvd 2. There is a water grate at my corner (Renwick and Seminary) where a tree is trying to grow. I,have been able to trim below, the grate in past years but unable to this year. I tried spraying with vinegar but no luck. Can someone lift the grate and remove? Many thanks. MVS
Good morning! Can someone turn the water on at the switchyard dog park? The one inside the gate isn't on and there isn't a hose like there was previously. Thanks!
Regarding report #210315 - My neighbors and I were able to cut the tree into lighter weight sections and drag it out of the street. I filled my yard waste bin and he is working on filling his bin. It is no longer blocking Dunn Street. Thank you!
A large sycamore branch from a neighbors yard fell onto S Dunn St between E Wylie St and E Dodds St, blocking the road. I pulled what I could into our yard however a portion of the road is still blocked. Thank you!
