Kinser Flats 1610 north Kinser Pike residents are trespassing on 441 West Gourley Pike. Leaving trash, needles, excrement' clothes. When asked to leave, they often get combative. It is not even safe to walk outside D/T needles, human waste and belligerent people. They have also done damage to the building. they have attempted to break in, cracking windows and tearing apart air conditioner units.

There is a round about on Summit Street and Cottage Grove. The roundabout is completely overgrown and is also covering up the drainage system. It's so high that when kids are riding their bikes and cars are coming around the corner, they almost get hit. It needs to be cut.
I work in Luddy Hall on the IU Campus. I have an ADA sticker for my car. The only ADA parking close to the southside of the building in on the west side of Myles Brank Hall behind Luddy. The City of Bloomington has timed parking along the south side of Luddy on Cottage Grove. It would benefit me to have at least one or preferably two of those parking spaces issued for drivers with a disabled license. This building has no parking on the other three sides. I'm 71 years old with major health issues and we have elderly and/or disabled family members come to Luddy also, especially in inclement weather when there is more possibility of falls. Vegetation obstructing sidewalk in front of 919-921 E. Hunter (esp. the part between the houses, which no owner seems to take responsibility for) remains a problem.
I had sent in a request on 5/19/25 Case #202787 reporting that Olive Street needs a concrete curb installed. Due to the excessive rainfall this has caused flooding issues for 1502 S. Olive and the house on the corner of Hillside and Olive (1144 E. Hillside Dr.). I was informed that this was on the paving list and there was plans for an asphalt curb. I called on 6/9/25 and spoke to the Engineering dept. (Iris) about installing a concrete curb instead of asphalt. There is already a partial concrete curb that runs past 1502. It needs to have a concrete curb all the way up the hill so that rain will not flood into the driveway and along the house of 1502, plus it runs past the curb into the yard of 1144 E. Hillside causing flooding in the basement. They have a sump pump now, but it's old and could quit at any time. It's already August and there hasn't been any kind of activity on this street. Do you have an estimated date as to when the street will be paved and the curb installed? Also, there is a construction sign in the yard of 1144 E. Hillside that has been there all summer and would like it to be moved. Thank you for any information you can provide!
The uReport search and map features no longer seem to be working. It will allow me to search, but the results are not accurate. Furthermore, you used to be able to look at a map to see where previous uReports had been made. This feature no longer works. Can you please let me know if these features were purposefully removed or simply are not working at the moment? If they are not working at the moment, when will they be fixed?
Mary Norman 411 West Howe Street Bloomington, IN 47403 To Whom: I am writing to ask if a streetlamp be installed between my property and the property next door. These properties are: 411 (mine) 413 (AirBB)… as this is the only way to our back doors and parking lot. There is a utility pole already set in the ground and wires attached. The south side of Howe Steet is where I live – there are 4 of us that have property here. • Odd Fellows (corner of Madison and Howe) they occupy that house once a month for a meeting. • My property – 411 West Howe – I am a fulltime resident and owner occupied. • 413 West Howe is an AirBB and is only occupied now and then. • Rehab house on the corner of Rogers and Howe – 4 units occupied off and on with only men It is very very dark on this street along with tree foliage that blocks out any light, On the corner of Madison and Howe is a streetlamp but it is dim and doesn’t cast a lot of light. As a single woman in elder years, I try to walk as much as I can but restricted at night due to the darkness surrounding this street. I installed a motion light on the roof of my house, but it only shines with movement. I am willing to pay or partial payment of installing a streetlamp between 411 and 413 west Howe street. There is a short street that separates these two houses and the only way to get to our parking lot and back door. Homeless people walk thru our backyard traveling to and from Shalom Center and the park up a block on Howe Street. Yesterday I saw a homeless person “peeing” between my neighbor’s trash and recycle bins. There is no respect for personal property in our back area. We butt up to the apartment building on Second Street. Countless times police are there with lights flashing. It really is NOT safe around here without proper lighting. Please set up a time for someone to visit this area during evening hours. It will surprise you that you cannot identify who is walking down Howe Street… AGAIN, I would be willing to fund the lamp as would the owners of the AirBB. I was recently in Bloomington and saw the giant electric buses driving around. I wanted to point out that you could waste taxpayer money faster by just placing it directly into any toilet and depressing the flush lever.
This crosswalk is completely warn off and cars never stop. Please repaint. A sign showing cars the cross walk would be wonderful too!
