trail needs to be trimmed back
trail needs to be trimmed back
I noticed on the accessible bump-out that there is a rail to help prevent wheelchairs from ending up in the lake. My suggestion is that all of the bump-outs should have this same safety railing. My son is in a power wheelchair that is more than capable of making it to the smaller bump-outs. Thank You, Douglas Toms
A pet waste station is desperately needed at the intersection of Moravec Way and the B-Line. There are piles of uncollected pet waste all along the trail in this area, which I often step in while performing my Adopt-a-Greenspace duties. I suspect that folks would be more willing to bag up their pet's waste if there was a convenient disposal option here.
A fence has been bent down over the B-Line near where it ends at Adams St. Along the top edge of the fence, is sharply pointed barbed wire. This is positioned above the trail precisely where it will catch a cyclist in his face causing severe injury. This is such a very dangerous situation that it should be taken care of with the highest priority.
Yikes! What happened to Lanam and Griffy creek trails. Both are impossible to hike and disappearing. I tried Griffy trail and it was a no go so I turned around and crossed the creek to try Lanam but it was even less walkable. Also, Hiking trail has a tree down.
Erosion noted between 7th street and the bike path as it curves under IN 46. Not bad now, but going to cause a hazard as it gets worse.

On the B-Line just north of 6th Street, on Saturday mornings there are a few people who block the B-Line Trail during farmers market hours. They set up this obtrusive wooden platform right on the trail. It causes a lot of congestion for trail users in a very busy part of the B-Line. Can someone enforce rules that prevent people from blocking the trail like this? They can setup their board in the grass or somewhere else that is not impeding safe pedestrian and bicycle use of the pedestrian and bicycle trail (which is not a stage for their private and individual use). Maybe they can show up early enough to sign up to busk in the Farmers Market rather than clogging up the flow of people? Check it out. Saturday mornings, B-Line and 6th. Around 10am you will see the full problem they are causing.
I have a couple of concerns. One is when they have treated for invasive species on the portion of the trail I walk between Country Club and Gordon, there is nothing other than a sign. There is no indications of what areas have been treated, nothing is blocked off. I'm also concerned about the fact that there isn't a spot to throw away animal poo bags on the trail between Country Club and Gordon. I have seen several abandoned along the trail or the waste not being picked up at all.
Renwick trail is very over grown and narrowed path so that two way traffic is unsafe. Thanks for the pavement patches. Also, graffiti is back on the walls next to and under the tunnel of this trail.
