Signal has been malfunctioning for months. When is it slated for repair?
This traffic signal has been malfunctioning for over a year and repair is slated for this year, hopefully, but in the interim, could you adjust the timer on the malfunctioning left turn arrow for S. Walnut to Hillside to only stay green for 15 or fewer seconds rather than the full 30 seconds that everyone has to wait going northbound now. Add'l note that if a car is actually turning left onto Hillside, the light cycles much faster.
The green arrow for Walnut St northbound cars to turn left onto W. Hillside lasts way longer than it should. Walnut St southbound cars wait a very long time, even, as I just now experienced, when not a single car used the green arrow. Please shorten the time, or eliminate the arrow altogether, since there don't seem to be enough cars needing to turn onto W Hillside to justify it. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Left turn arrow on northbound Walnut at Hillside is cycling green for 30 seconds everytime, with no cars on the loop.
I've reported this traffic signal problem before, it intermittently gives northbound Walnut a left turn arrow onto Hillside when there are no cars in the lane. Today, there were no cars at all going northbound and it still cycled a long 30second green left turn arrow with 10-12 cars waiting at the light going southbound.
Left turn arrow on S. Walnut southbound for E. Hillside goes green every cycle regardless of whether there's a car on the loop in the left turn lane or not.
It's getting worse. It's now cycling green for all three lanes of southbound traffic on Walnut when there are no cars at all. And this morning it cycled a green left turn arrow for northbound Walnut turning left onto W. Hillside with no cars there. Hadn't seen it do that for a while.
Attempting to turn left onto Hillside onto Washington is extremely difficult during high traffic times. Contributing to this is the very poor sight line when attempting to see oncoming traffic - the hill up from walnut blocks westbound traffic to a degree, and the porch structure built to the property line at 202 E Hillside makes it very hard to see eastbound traffic. What could be done to make this intersection feel less perilous?
There is trash in the back yard of the house. The trash blows into this man's yard. and up the street. He just wants it cleaned up, and kept that way!
