Could some parking spaces be cleared out?
Could some parking spaces be cleared out?
Recycling was picked up but not the trash.
Here is the IU Center on Representative Government – where the steps to the building are completely cleared and salted, but the sidewalk for the lowly pedestrians is covered with a few inches of uneven packed snow and ice. Who is being represented? Photo taken 2026 Jan 29 – 1:03 PM
I have not been able to park my car in the parking spot behind my house because the alley has still not been cleared, even though the case was reported as closed. Street parking is off limits as well due to snow blocking the spots. All of the stores are out of shovels, so there really is nothing I can do.
Both sidewalks extending from the northwest corner of Kirkwood and Indiana are badly unshoveled – possibly never shoveled at all. This is utterly disgraceful in an area of very high pedestrian traffic in front of Sample Gates. It is perhaps the poster child of how ineffective the law is in Bloomington. The photos were taken on January 29, 2026 at 12.57 PM – four days after the end of the snowstorm.
There is a transient person in the Walnut Street parking garage skywalk.
The sidewalk in front of McDonald's still has not been cleared--this is a danger for pedestrians--I have seen several people walking IN THE ROAD at this busy intersection.
Students have to walk up and down N Dunn St in the dark, days after snow stopped falling, because sidewalks still aren't cleared yet. Witnessed 2 people almost get hit by a car that didn't know students were walking in the street.
whole side-street is turning to ice because the plows never came through
