Urgent Complaint Regarding Road Conditions at Tulip Tree Apartments Dear manager, I am writing to formally raise a complaint about the poor road conditions at Tulip Tree Apartments, particularly the section of the road immediately after exiting the parking lot. As a resident, I have noticed that turning east from the parking lot has become increasingly difficult due to the uneven and damaged road surface. Since moving to Tulip Tree this academic year, I have experienced recurring issues with my car’s wheel alignment. In November of last year, I had to get a four-wheel alignment, and again in March of this year—both times due to a fault in the front right wheel’s toe angle. This issue never occurred during my previous residency at Campus View, but since living at Tulip Tree, I have had to perform two alignments in just a few months to prevent uneven tire wear and avoid further damage. Given that I frequently turn east when exiting the parking lot, my front right wheel has been subjected to excessive strain due to the poor road conditions. I understand that driving slowly over rough roads can help minimize vehicle damage. However, the actual road conditions make it nearly impossible to pass through slowly. Vehicles traveling westbound are affected by the angle of the road, making it difficult for me to accurately judge distances. As a result, I am often forced to accelerate quickly when I see an opening, further exacerbating the stress on my vehicle’s suspension and alignment. Indiana University has been actively repairing roads across campus, yet the roads around Tulip Tree remain in a severely deteriorated state. While I cannot directly prove that the road conditions are the sole cause of my vehicle’s alignment issues, the correlation is evident—especially considering that I had no such issues during my time at Campus View. The need for multiple alignments in such a short period is highly unusual and costly. I strongly urge the management to address this issue and take immediate action to repair the road. This is not just a financial concern for residents facing repeated maintenance costs but also a significant safety issue. Potholes all up down the road The gouge in the road where it looks like somebody milled it out and now a car bottoms out as you go through it.. also fountain Street leaking up to where they stop construction on the road is there any plans to fix that road full of potholes and unevenness in it maybe you guys have waited long enough to address that road

Construction site workers have removed a portion of the dumpster enclosure on the alley, sitting at the NW corner of 325 E. 10th property parking lot. This left a dangerous 6" square hole where a support post had previous been. Not clear if the hole is on private property or in the alley, but it is dangerous now for people or small animals.

I have previously submitted uReport on this. Definitely appears to be a sinkhole. Much deeper and cone can fully sit inside. The road under appears caving in. I have more pictures if needed. I can only attach one.

Taylor or Young or both trucking is hauling dirt to the quarry behind the motels on Rd46 and as they leave the road they are making a mess and not cleaning it up. Part of the road was recently repaved because of them and now they need to clean up the road all the time not just when they feel like it. I keep my cars clean and I should not have to drive though dirt and mud to leave my house.

Driving to the IU pool Sunday night, when my daughter hit a pot hole on Fee Lane around 17th Street. It was dark, so she couldn't see to avoid it. It popped her tire. Please repair this pot hole before it costs someone else a lot of money. Thank you!

The asphalt needs repairs along E. Wylie Farm Road, a City street, at the connection to S. Bayberry Drive, a private street. The repairs are needed in the right-of-way along E. Wylie Farm Road. Thank you.

Park Ridge neighborhood along E. Morningside Drive - at many corners, Concord, N. Glenwood East, the street asphalt has collapsed causing a steep drop off into the ditch beside the street. One street hazard barricade - need more at all locations. Already submitted a uReport but neighbors have contacted me today and are quite concerned regarding this hazard to walkers, bikes, and autos. Please help -
