White 2-story house in the 700 block of W. 7th St. is boarded up, but someone has partially removed a board from the window at the rear of the property. Neighbors have been seeing people in the upstairs at night. The stairway area at the rear of the house, which leads from the basement to the outside is full of water, which is several feet deep. The basement must be full of water. Ms. Stanfield is concerned that a child could drown.
Can someone from HAND please leave a good neighbor flier for these people? They play loud music day and night that can be heard a few doors down and they drive unsafely through the alley. I will be stopping by to speak to them myself, and my next step will be calling BPD about the noise if they do not adhere to City noise ordinance.
Lawn has not been mowed in weeks. The grass is extremely long. Looks like a mess.
Detached large limb hanging over the road from tree in the devil strip in front of 708 W 7th st.
Trash must be in a bag or a can
Resident has already been sent a letter by Shelby Walker advising that their trash needs to be contained in a can since the bags are ripped open every week and trash is all over yards and in the road. Sanitation crew usually cleans this up for residents between 703-709 Keystone and takes the trash. However, today crew left trash behind with another notice advising that they would not pick up loose trash.Resident has already been sent a letter by Shelby Walker advising that their trash needs to be contained in a can since the bags are ripped open every week and trash is all over yards and in the road. please add a traffic signal here this can be a dangerous intersection. a traffic signal here will aid the city bus (route 6 and 6L) in making its runs and traffic flow for cars, bikes and pedestrian's.
The all way stop put in at Smith and 45 will likely cause confusion and/or problems between cars and bikes. There is a very big shoulder there and as a cyclist I have always ridden on the shoulder through this intersection. Westbound on a bike you come to this intersection at relatively high speed and if you have taken the should there's really no need to wait behind cars. I believe that is where the potential for confusion will be. If, say, there are 5 cars at the stop sign, should bikes not use the shoulder and wait in line with cars? Should they use the shoulder, but wait with cars? Should they blow by the line of cars? Should they slow, but still roll past the line of cars? While I am generally against "pained bike lanes" I think some sort of signage/lane could make sense here.
