During a phone call about planning questions this morning, I received a request/complaint about the maintenance of the storm inlet at the northeast corner of Reverend Butler Park, at the southwest corner of 10th Street and Fairview Street. The storm inlet regularly gets blocked with branches and other debris, causing flooding in the park, in 10th Street, and in the basement of 615 North Fairview Street. The caller requests that CBU institute a regular schedule of maintenance to keep this inlet clear. Thank you

There is a 2 by 1 foot pothole that was intentionally dug in the alley that runs behind the property.So the pothole is between the property and the Hutton Honors College. Don't know if the city or party that dug it was looking for pipes or what, but the hole has been there for almost two weeks unfilled. There are 6 parking spots all in a row behind the property. The pothole is dug in such a way that it is directly behind a parking spot making the spot unusable. Also, when the pothole was initially dug there was already a car in the parking spot. The pothole was dug directly behind the tires of the car making it impossible to avoid when the car backed out. May want to instruct crews or whichever party was responsible not to do that. A complaint was raised by Cheryl Underwood (Bloomington landlord) on 11/07/2011 at the Plan Commission that this structure had illegally added a fourth bedroom to each of the two units and that no enforcement action had been taken.
