Case Date:

W Church Lane. From Victor Pike heading east toward Rogers St. The road has many potholes. Part of the road has been washed away, causing a huge hole on the side of the road. Again there are several, however I hit a pretty deep one and busted my tire. And bent my rim. I uploaded a picture to try to show how deep it is. If you need more pictures. Please feel free to email me. Thank you for your time.

Potholes, Other Street Repair

1306 S Pickwick PL

Case Date:
4/8/2021

As rain come downhill on the street, it sometimes overwhelms our drainage tunnel. Over the years this created a line of crumble in Pickwick, in the last two years this has become a serious hazard for bicycles, pedestrians and not too good for our cars. Is there a chance we could get some blacktop put down on this? I'll be taking bids to resurface my driveway this summer, and it would be best if the street was repaired before this work gets done. Thank you! Jim Murray 1306 S Pickwick Pl Bloomington, IN 47401 812-339-8876 (home) 812-345-5513 (mobile) jmurray@iu.edu

Other

1816 S High ST

Case Date:
4/7/2021

During the fall of 2020, annual maintenance of the electric wires on the right side of the street (heading south) was done. I don’t know if it’s the city, Duke Energy, or a company who performs this task but today I am writing to complain about the results of the work. It affects the following locations * Beginning at 1816 S High heading south through 2011 S High * And again beginning at 2020 S High heading south through 2021 S High As an avid gardener, it is painful to look at the way the trees are trimmed in the first place. This is the most egregious offense. And just as important, the trees and limbs that were removed are randomly thrown on the ground and it is a visual eyesore. When I look at this I wonder why all the trees aren’t just removed from both stretches on South High? Who is responsible for this mess and what can be done about it? It is shoddy work and our town of Bloomington shouldn’t allow for it.

Blocked Street

2008 E Greenbriar LN

Case Date:
4/7/2021

This house was sold and purchased by new owners in 2016. Since then the number of vehicles parked on the street has grown to as many as 7 over time. For the last 8 months, one of the vehicles has had 2 flat tires and has not moved. There have been many times (especially during snowy winter days) where the street becomes hard to navigate especially with two way traffic. Is there any ordinance that recommends the number of cars one can park in front of their house? Can an abandoned car remain on the streets for months on end? Perhaps the number of cars is related to the number of families residing at this home; is there a limit to the number of families that may be co-housing? How can this be resolved? Aside from the driving safety issues, it is a visual blight on our neighborhood and a very unfortunate welcome to our lovely neighborhood.
