Caller to HAND wants to report that large furniture items and trash are in the dumpster area but not in the dumpster. She says that this happens on a steady basis throughout the property. She said she has not notified management because in the past they have not responded. She would like a compliance officer to look at all the dumpsters, especially near garage 1. We bought a house with HAND assistance at 1400 S. Palmer. The Dunn Hill painted houses are one block to the east. The 1300 block and 1400 block of South Palmer are well maintained residences, some owner-occupied, some rental. Now, I pay a lot of taxes for my house and yard. A lot. And I hope to see some benefit from doing that in terms of the trash problems at 1316 and 1317 South Palmer. Both residences bring down my property value immensely. They are total trash dumps. I collect trash from the street every week and the trash pickup. It's 99% things that people throw from their cars or just walking by. But those two places simply generate their own trash. I pick it up. But I'm tired of picking it up. I need some help. These two places sit opposite each other. The one of the west of the street is some kind of used car business. This would not be allowed on Dunn Street, just a block away. The place on the east of the street, they never deal with their trash, trash, junk, you name it. Please help.

There is a rusting out grill on the west side of the building left here from when the fire department occupied the building. It is presumably broken and seeing as how the city owns the building, and the fire department has left, the city should probably clean that up.

We have an issue where either our trash cans have been stolen or misplaced both the regular trash can and the recycling are missing from our property.
