In the grass north/south easement behind my property that runs parallel between Washington and Lincoln, just south of Davis, there is an open sewer pipe.

The sewer lines for 2201, 2203, and 2207 connect together and then jointly connect to city sewer. As this was done sometime in the 1950s, is this up to current city codes? Over the past few years there have been a few sewer back-ups as a result of all lines being connected. Is there a grant available to the homeowners that will allow each of them to disconnect from each other and connect to city sewer individually? The multi-use trail on the north side of Rogers road has significant plant overgrowth. At some points, the ten foot path has only four feet of usable width due to the overgrowth. The bushes need to be cut back and the edges of the path need to be cleared. This is on Rogers Rd beginning at the crosswalk roundabout intersection with High St and extending about 350-400 feet east. Thank you!

There are homeless encampments steadily increasing in number behind my house and those of my neighbors. There are now several in view of my windows. The amount of trash is staggering, including countless hypodermic needles. Trash is regularly set on fire by the residents of the encampments, producing noxious smoke that smells terrible and is surely not safe to breathe. The city needs to do something about these encampments. Open air drug use within feet of neighborhoods with young children should not be tolerated. I've been a resident of Bloomington for a decade and I'm strongly considering moving out of town due to the city's inability to address this issue. Please do something.
