Mills pool has 19 chairs TOTAL. This feels inequitable compared to Bryan Park. Given the proximity to low income housing, it feels important to give this pool a little more love instead of having starkly different offerings than BP.
MAINTENANCE ISSUE: Uneven surface to the left of the kiddie pool entrance is a dangerous tripping hazard. Red paint is so faded as to be useless.
The ADA accessible parking sign for Mills Poop is hidden by a tree branch and hard to see. The pool driveway to reach this parking space is also blocked off by orange traffic cones. Painting the curb light blue by the accessible parking sign would help make it more visible and accessible.
Where are the accessible parking spots for Mills Pool? I could not find any.
In the past we have put in a complaint about the trees at mills pool. They need cut back. They hang way to low. Someone is going to put an eye out. Oh wait my son almost did. On July 15th my 12 year old son was walking on the sidewalk at the circle to go swimming. He turned his head and jammed a hanging tree branch into his left eye. His poor eye was red and draining and it hurt. We went to the dr the next day. He got some eye drops and they sent us to the eye dr. Had to wait till that wed. Unfortunately he can not swim for atleast a week. We have to get the open wound on his eye ball to heal up. I hope you take immediate action on this and keep on top of it from now on. This never should have happened. Those trees should never hang that low especially since we have put in a complaint on them before. Here is pictures of his poor little eye and the trees. the lot on the S. W. corner of 7th & Elm needs mowed
There is significant sediment tracking along N Arlington Rd down to the 17th Street roundabout. It appears it may be coming from the new jobsite, but the roadway is a complete mess. Please let the Planning and Transportation know about the sediment concern and if possible a street sweeper probably needs to get this cleaned up. Thank you!
On W. 2nd St. heading west. On the far rt side of the road ( north side) in front of PSI or Duke building, just after Walker. The is a shallow pock of missing black top. It's not much of a big deal to an automobile, but I am a cyclist, and it's impact to me and my bike is huge. I understand the weather will make its repair delayed, just requesting it to be in the list of pot holes to be filled. Please and thank you as always. Randy Craw
